Looking good so far!!! Interested to see how it progresses.
Keep the pictures coming!!
What material are you using for construction?
PLA plastic. Below I am doing one of the bridge rails. I have found so many things on 3D Warehouse I could print for years in the DST/AA scale. Transporter rooms, sickbay, shuttlecraft, conference room, engineering on and on

Nice. I've started working on my bridge again, as well. At the moment, I'm producing the bridge chairs.
I would love to see your work. Is it online?

Yes, it is. It's for the Playmates figures. Here's a link to the old thread: http://www.trektoy.c...?showtopic=4628

Whoa, how cool! So correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like you used my SketchUp bridge model? That's awesome; when I created it almost a decade ago, I had no idea it would ever be used in this way. Just phenomenal. Certainly puts a fire under my butt to get my own 3D printer and do this.

WELCOM TO THE WORLD OF 3D PRINTING
It's had it issues. I have had for 8 months and I'm on my fourth hotend and just two weeks ago I shattered the hot bed removing a stuck piece. That was 90 dollars out of pocket given my warranty is
out now.

Great talent there. My downfall is the detail and I think mine won't look do good when I finally hey around to painting these.
try making the detail as individual parts an insert then. is that PLA?

Yes it is PLA.
When I say detail I mean the hand painting I will have to do. I am not the best painter

Really phenomenal work, and I'm looking forward to seeing the end of this project. I do want to apologize, though, for the bridge chairs; they're clearly not up to snuff. Complex shapes are something I never figured out in Sketchup, so they don't look as good as they should.
