I'm finally making some progress on my custom bridge. Spock's console and the helm are made of cardboard, but I've decided to go for styrofoam (is that what it's called in English?) instead. I made the captain's chair today. It's obviously not finished yet, but it's a good start! I'll re-do the helm as well as other consoles, until I (hopefully) some day have a complete bridge.

The other day, I even had an idea of how I could make the chairs. So I tried to build a first draft (unpainted and without details). The backrest will be a little bit higher once i add the black part.
And yes, it is made of...
... a plastic spoon.

Update: I found some tees that are shaped like the chair bases. They get wider at both ends, the only thing I'd have to do would be cut off the spikes on the lower end. I'll check if they're in scale. Thanks for the tip.

Some progress. I've finished the basic version of the helm console (still unpainted and without details) and the pedestal of the helm & captain's chair. The turbolift-door-part is also new. The other day, I even had an idea of how I could make the chairs. So I tried to build a first draft (unpainted and without details). The backrest will be a little bit higher once i add the black part. And yes, it is made of...... a plastic spoon.
Chairs from spoons!!!??? That has to be given legend status! superb! Sorry if I am reviving a dormant thread but as I just joined, they are ALL new to me.
Did you ever finish this? I love it!

Not finished, yet, due to a lot of work and moving in with my girlfriend. I'm planning to work on it some more next year. But it won't look near as superb as your bridge.
