#91617 NYCC 2017

Posted by trekhunter1701 on 09 October 2017 - 03:42 PM

DST were showing pics on their FB page from NYCC and I said "That's nice but...Star Trek?

This was the response.
Nothing at this show, sorry. Lots in the works.

It's like shaking a "magic eight ball" with them. Lol

At least you're not banned for being a troll.  Like I said above they can't take a little criticism without crying "TROLL!!"    I've lost any respect for Zach. He obviously can't handle the truth.

I'm not going to start a new thread over this, but as a random thing, what's everyones guess as to when it'll release? My guess is early 2019, and I'm not joking. lol

I don't remember the time scale with the Enterprise-E (it was at least two years), but I know the B and Excelsior were shown off in 2009, but didn't arrive until 2013.

Hopefully by the 75th anniversary of Star Trek!!

#84661 Star Trek at Toy Fair

So far still no news on any Star Trek Beyond merchandise!

Don't be surprised if you don't see anything. I'm not counting on it.  I may sound negative on posts but it just frustrating to see Trek get pushed aside and everything else is getting new items.

#84598 Final chance to guess what the new Federation ship is...

Posted by trekhunter1701 on 13 February 2016 - 12:26 AM

Maybe it will be revealed later??? Hmmm.... I hope so :(

I'm not holding my breath again this year.  It's obvious by the statements made about the Trek line that it is not going to get the same attention it used to and I doubt you'll see much in the way of new things anymore past this year.  DST obviously has better lines now to give their attention to.

Looks like she can't wait to get out of the package.

Figures.com just posted "and more" pics on the NYCC DST coverage and had a few Trek items shown.  DST has the NX-01 , TNG Phaser, Fem Troi, Worf bank, some previously released mego figures   The only new I saw was the Mego Cheron and two different Red Shirt Security guys (Mego).  If that is what they call new stuff I'll pass on the generic red shirts.  Rand, Chapel, TNG Klingon and Data is what I call new.   Oh well.  Here's a link to the new Mego pic:

#82893 Mega Bloks 2016 USS Enterprise (TOS)

Posted by trekhunter1701 on 08 October 2015 - 04:12 PM

Well at least some companies are willing to produce Star Trek toys and collectibles unlike DST who keeps telling us about things and never show any of it.  I'll buy the Mega Block Trek items because I like lego style toys.  Just wish they weren't a year away.  But they'll beat the "Federation Ship"  out and probably even seeing it!!!!

They still don't have the license for new Trek, and it's not TOS movie era. Or so they SAY! lol.

J-R!

It's Cochrane's warp ship from First Contact.  LOL!!

It's cheerleader Troi for the Femme Fatales figure.  Looks like they're pushing the mego style stuff but no new stuff yet.

I asked on Facebook if they can confirm if the new Federation ship will be on display.
"I do not believe so" was the answer.

I didn't expect it to be shown.  50th anniversary of Trek is coming and of course nothing to show for it as usual.  Now if it was 50 years of Star Wars we'd have crap galore to show.

#79410 New York City Toy Fair 2015 Discussion Thread

Well, we just did a Klingon ship, and I think it's really as simple as that. I imagine that neck would be an engineering challenge, as well.

So instead you do a ship that the majority of collectors could care a less about.  The D7 is one of the most requested alien ship in any toy line.  I'm sorry but if model companies can make it and they do not have an "engineering challenge" why should DST??  You've put out ships without problems except cheap stands.  And the excuse that you just did a Klingon ship doesn't fly very well when you keep putting out multiple Enterprises.

#78664 Star Trek III Phaser

Posted by trekhunter1701 on 06 January 2015 - 07:36 PM

lol! :roflmao:

Exactly the aim of my comment.  If we can't have a little fun with all this waiting it would not be fun around here.  I'm more intrigued by the comment of the next trek role playing item.  It sounds like it'll be even better!!

The lines look pretty tight! But I'm thinking late Feb to early march based on what we're seeing.

Of 2016!!

Sorry if I made you mad, Prometheus. My joke to Trek Hunter was perhaps less than good intentioned, but saying that the photos don't lie when you've seen one photo from a convention, using it as evidence that we don't care about the license, then saying you stand by your statements without admitting you were wrong? I could have said worse, but I'm a guest here, and I respect the investment people have made in the line. But I won't deny it gets under my skin.

If you read the full thread I explained my comments.  I have thousands of dollars of your products and have stuck up for DST/AA many times so I'm entitled to my opinion.  So if you want to say worse please do.

Nah,no PA from me,just putting my thoughts out there since someone said there was ONE item on display when there were more than that, for instance. Yes,even a ship.

Amok Time has a lot of cool stuff, just not much Trek, lol! Just bought a Day The Earth Stood Still set there today, and Sam from Trick'r'Treat,a movie I like. There's another booth there called Tribbletoys or something, and while they had a lot of Trek stuff they had even more Who stuff. Guess a business has to cater to what people seem to want these days, lol!

J-R!

My comments were made before other pictures showed up with the other items.  I still stand by my comments!!
