Galoob's Shuttle Galileo, with box and unapplied stickers, went for $40.00 + $12.90 after 14 bids. Shuttle has been taken out of the box, but the box is included as are unapplied stickers.

A high price and lot of bids here. These can be found for half this much if you watch eBay closely. This was an expensive way to get into Galileo ownership.

Also, this is an item where the fact of the box being opened or not is not a huge issue, as long as the box and the stickers are included.

This is one of those items where I have to wonder what people are doing with these in 2018. Are these the people who grew up with TNG buying that toy they've always wanted?

Probably completing an old collection. I know many people were able to get the base crew, the aliens and vehicles seemed to be harder to find and after the line ended were pretty expensive. I know I need to complete my set, just need Antican or Selay (can't remember which one) and the Ferengi ship.

Ferengi figure, MIB, went for $20.50 + $5.50 shipping after 27 bids.

Needless to say, we don't usually see this kind of battle over one of these figures. I guess a whole lot of people just needed a mint on card Ferengi all of the sudden that week.

This was a pricey way to get into Ferengi figure ownership.

Shuttle Galileo, with box but kind of out of box with all original packing materials, stickers unapplied, went for $33.00 + $9.26 shipping after 25 bids. That's a lot of bids, guise.

These can be found just a little cheaper, but the wild number of bids points to some pinot grigio being downed hard in the wee hours. Well bought, all things considered, but a lot of bids.

These were packaged in a quite minimalist manner, so it's hard to fault these for being new with box but being displayed out of the box at the same time. There's not a ton of stuff inside that box.

Ferengi figure, MIB, went for $29.01 + $6.55 shipping after 9 bids.

This is a bunch of dough, in this day and age, to get into carded Ferengi figure ownership. I dunno what's going on here, but the same seller also sold a Selay on card for $28.00 + $6.55 after 5 bids. As if all of eBay is not littered with these. Someone was drinking too much eggnog with Bailey's or somethin' cause these are straight up wild results.

Shuttle Galileo, mint with box (but opened for photos) and stickers unapplied, went for $53.00 + $9.06 after 16 bids.

This is probably a record high for the past year that I've seen. They can go for half this amount at times.

Blue Data on card recently brought $32.00 + $5.19 shipping after 3 bids.

First of all: long time no see, Galoob figure diehards. This is a buncha dough, guise. The photo in the lot didn't even show off the blueness of this figure all that well.

Honestly I thought that all of these very niche sub-variants like speckled-face and blue-face Data had ceased to be stratified on the secondary market like 20 years ago. There is no shortage of sellers now dumping these figures on mint cards, to the point that I'm starting to suspect that no kid in the 1980s even got a Galoob figure -- it was all scalpers. Kinda amazed to see that these Data face color variants matter in ::checks wristwatch:: the year 2019 A.D.

Selay, MIB, went for $14.42 + $8.00 shipping after 1 bid.

These can be gotten cheaper at times, if you really monitor eBay closely, but this is not a crazy result these days for the rare alien figs.

Ferengi, MIB, recently went for $30.00 + $8.00 shipping after 5 bids.

This is a bit of a high result, but demand for this figure has always been strong. These "aliens" came out in the second wave and were a bit short packed as well, and the Ferengi/Selay/Antican/Q figures have been sought after. The aliens from this lineup continue to trade really well.

Still, it feels like for every 20 of these Ferengis in the blister, there is only 1 loose figure that comes up for sale.

I would *love* a galoob Ferengi, but every one I buy seems to have the same defect.  One leg longer than the other.  Being in Australia and having never paid less than $100.00 for one of these figures, Ive sort of given up trying.

Wesley prototype figure recently sold for $3,550.00 + $158.45 after 3 bids.

The figure price does not seem high because this is where they're generally traded in the past, but I would balk at the $158.45 for one day shipping. Assuming this auction actually happened for real, and not to warm things up for a relist next week.

The Romulan figure prototype recently sold for $4,517.00 + $158.45 shipping after 3 bids.

I think the bid amount is realistic, given the adage "go find another." Having said that, these usually trade in the $2-3K range, which is not small potatoes, so this could be a record if the auction for real. But they don't come up for sale often.

The seller writes:

"This is an original pre-production prototype of the Romulan action figure. The figure was never released. This is a hand painted resin figure sealed on a prototype card. The card has no graphics on the reverse, but has a penciled note. This type of prototype would have been used for photographs, sales meetings and the Toy Fair display. In the past, my company Whiz Bang! Toys handled the sale of many toy creators' personal collections. I have pictured one of my auctions featuring some of the Galoob prototypes. I will provide a Whiz Bang COA guaranteeing authenticity."

"I have had this and Wesley Crusher stored away for decades with the hope of not selling them. Unfortunately, the economy has gotten the best of me and I have to let them go. I have started the bidding at far below what I believe is fair market value. I will not sell them for less than minimum bid, so please, no low ball offers. Shipping will be FEDeX fully insured or an in person meet, there has been a handling cost added for insurance."
