Yes, she's striking a pose, but I don't know that it's a particularly sexy pose. It's pretty straightforward, if you ask me. If you look at the promotional photography for any season of Voyager with her in it, she's always doing something glamorous and out-of-character. People have suggested we should have had her reading a padd, but that seems a bit much. This isn't a portrait or a photograph, this is a heroic statue. We want there to be some kind of attitude on display.
Oh, and that particular Alice you're talking about is American McGee's Alice from Alice: Madness Returns, a sequel to the original video game that re-imagined the Alice mythos. We re-imagine characters a lot, like Little Bo Peep, but our original Alice statue was a little more traditional, if a more mature take.
