I trust NECA could do a hell of a job on figures, but would they be capable of doing the ships? Sure they could license out or whatever to AA/DST for the sculpts, but wouldn't that just increase their cost? At this point I'm waiting for QMx to start releasing their collectors scale line of ships so I can just walk away from DST entirely for ships.... Except for the C.... I'd buy the hell out of that from whoever makes it.

 

I'm really, REALLY hoping that with them treating the NX-01 like a new ship, like they did with the A, that they don't end up making it worse then the original since it was virtually perfect.... Like they did with the A. 

 

Anyways, video is exporting now, i'm expecting it to fail multiple times to draw out the process, but it should be up later today. 

Im curious as to why QC has gone done recently with DST ships. The new NX-2000 seems to have bad sensor line issues on the saucer, and the TWOKs have sloppy windows (Spoilers, so does the A), not to mention the light bleed and translucent plastic that's plagued them forever... Did DST change something recently?

It's hard to believe this is from the same company that released the KBoP and NCC-2000, both of which got fantastic feedback with minimal issues.

Its funny.. I switched to BBTS for most of my stuff because EE always seemed slower... and now EE is getting everything early. 

 

My A is out for delivery from animewild on amazon today.. Will probably record my review/comparison with the TWOK either today or tomorrow, and post it as soon as its done.  Probably should figure out where I'm going to record it... 

 

Edit: Unless my GF drops the ball and doesn't pick it up today from the office.. in which case it will be delayed. 

If/when DST does Voyager, I'd want it to look as close to the Bandai model as possible.

My A is on the road from animewild and should be getting here on Friday, i'll make a video of it then comparing it to my TWOK. Will be my first real video in a while... Just need to find a good enough filming area. 

 

I also hope I don't get one with a two face shuttle bay since I lack the skill to repaint it myself.

If motorised nacelles were possible without compromising the hull shape, fantastic. If not, then just make them manually adjustable.

That'd be my preference regards Voyager.

Feel the same way, I want as accurate a sculpt as I can get.

If Voyager ever does get made, hopefully the entire forward area of the ventral engineering hull is the battery lid - so they can make one with the feet sticking out. I'd be fine with Voyager forgoing a stand entirely if that was an option!

When it comes to the Defiant's size, I really don't care. But, if they want to make it smaller (it is the tough 'little' ship, after all), that's fine with me. Just make one of the nice versions (studio or later CG model), and it's a winner.

I would absolutely buy a landing gear version of Voyager, would be awesome to have.

I also agree with you that the NX is the perfect size for Defiant, not to big, not to small, and much better then the giant playmates version.

Didn't realize they were being made, they had all 6 sets but I couldn't afford them all unfortunately. They're 3.75" scale, and seem pretty nice to me.

 

Hi guys first time poster! I got my new Enterprise A from Forbidden Planet! It's awesome!! Didn't expect it to be in stock but there she was!

I believe I speak for all of us when I say, Pictures please. 

If I didn't already have the BoP, and was looking at the ones available, the Bounty would be my first choice. The landing gear is awesome, and so are the voice clips. 

I wonder if they would do a Borgified Voyager?

Don't get me wrong, I love Voyager, but I don't really want that many variations of the same ship.

That's pretty clever, I may steal your idea when I get a proper set up for my DST ships. 

I also had no intention of buying the NX since the NCC is perfect. But now after seeing the NX I'm finding it hard to resist.
