Rather then steer other threads off topic...

I'll start the official "Welcome Back Vulcan Fanatic" thread....

Singing it to the theme from welcome back Kotter...

But those dreams have remained and they

Thanks to everyone, its nice to be back with you all. I loved Welcome back Kotter when i was a kid, even had the Figures at one time too, even though they were pretty lame. I have watched it recently, and it is still just as as funny as it was back in the 70's, well worth a watch.
Its really looking to be a great year for collecting Star Trek figures, hope i can keep up with all of the expenses. I have a order in with Rick for the WNMHGB 1701 and the 'Cage" 1701 right now to go with my TOS 1701, which is pretty great IMO.

Nice to see you both! Hey TLAMGUY, are you still a Master Chief in the Navy? StormfuryEcho i agree that we need more folks from NC on here. Wish we could get a good Trek convention in NC sometime.

VF, yes...I'm still a squid Master Chief. I'm done 1DEC07. 30 years and 18 days! Brief retirement (30 days on the beach, diving and golfing) then start my second career. No rest for the wicked. smile.gif

Wow, sometimes i wish i had stayed in the Navy, i would have had 25 years in in DEC07 myself. No use crying over spilt milk though. I will always remember my Navy days fondly though.

I'm sure Slayer & Chalkman would agree with me in saying there would be perks to joining the navy laugh.gif

But I would not want to be dishonourably discharged for punching some poor guy in the face who tried to wake me up at some ungodly hour!! biggrin.gif

I went to a "Heroes" Con a good number of years ago, and while i was grateful to have a Con to attend locally, the term "Con" should be used loosely when referring to it since it was pretty small and featured not much more than Comics. Hopefully its bigger and better now, but i went to a better Con than than that at a hotel in Raleigh that was about a third smaller, had better stuff in the dealers room, and had special guests like Mark Lenard and was 10 times better IMO. Wilmington, NC is supposed to be building a Convention center, so hopefully a Con will come here shortly after its built. Thanks to all of those who have welcomed me back, its very much appreciated!

Club? Where! The coolest thing I ever got from a club was this itty bitty little mini-mate...in a still sealed little plastic bag....with my handle on it...and it even has a little safety warning for adults to keep it away from kids: "Customised for: TLAMGUY....70 of 100". I guarangod@#@teeyou that will NEVER find its way on EBAY. Mad props to TBT....the gent who put that together for us old timers from a board long long ago. Such good intentions.....such a bad outcome.
