My latest project is a break from the ocean liners Ive been working on, and is a ship Ive wanted to build for a while now.

Im not doing her on screen paint job, and am kind of doing my own thing with her. Kind of a mix of TOS and TMP colors.

Not done yet, detailing painting now that the pearl white base coat is on everything.

Looking good so far, I'm totally on-board with your colour scheme idea. Can't wait to see how it pans out. Your paint skills far exceed mine :)

Side note, what type of TNG phaser prop is that in the background? 😉

Update on the Enterprise.

The saucer is done being painted, and that means Im done painting completely. All thats left is assembly and the decals. I may still pencil in the panel lines, not 100% sure though.

Great job. It's so odd seeing her like this - but it feels more comfortable and interesting for sure. The paint instructions on that model always befuddle me - those dark rings around middle of the saucer don't stand out at all on screen.

A lot of the super dark decals like those rings are actually really light on the CGI model, not sure why Revell made them so dark. I didn't use a lot of those dark decals because I don't like how they look, but I felt those rings worked pretty well.

The decals were also trash, a lot of them broke during application. Wish Polar Lights would make one, they'd probably do better since all their newer kits I've built have been great.

Nicely done!  How many cumulative hours do you think you invested in this project?
