It's really annoying that we're  still waiting for the names of the ships they're making.

They didn't have a problem showing a picture of Worf, why can't they show the ships? Even if they're a year away, do they not see how excited Trek fans are with the EM line showing ships that are well over a year away?

Most of us don't care how long it'll take, we just want to know what's coming.

Didn't they already say Reliant wasn't next? They've denied everything, clearly we're getting some obscure ship no one is asking about. Worker bee, calling it now.

The B looks absolutely amazing compared to Excelsior.

I also agree about DSTs secrecy, seeing development of these makes me more excited for them even though they are still months away.

I'd rather have Enterprise F than Titan,to be honest. But at least I get my Enterprise J at some point,so who am I to complain. I don't even buy this collection anyways,lol!

If you're talking the F from STO, that is not an attractive ship at all. From certain angles it looks decent but overall I'm not a big fan of the design.

Sweet Jesus the Enterprise C finally gets some love. Next July can't come soon enough.

Yep, prices are honestly terrible over here now (being completely honest). £70-80 for the Excelsior really isn't/wasn't (need to check again soon) on.
 
There are several solutions to the problem:

Picard method.
Why just comic-con? Surely 10/15/20 of them would sell at one of the big UK conventions?
 
Sisko method.
Someone from DST PM-ing members here who've expressed interest in the item, and arranging method of sale/delivery with them.
 
Kirk method.
Buy one from a scalper on ebay, but insist on collection via pick-up. Go to scalper location, engage in a theatrical-but-entertaining fist fight, making good use of the 'double axe-handle' method. Collect said item, AND take back money, minus the RRP price.

Archer method.
Make do without it, and come to realise you didn't need it in the first place.
 
Janeway method.
Magic one out of thin air.

I'm gonna be blunt on how I feel about exclusives and then I'll be done with it, I don't feel like debating this again like I did last year.

I understand you guys are conpletionists, and that's awesome if that's your thing. But getting mad at manufacturers over making these barely different exclusives just seems stupid.

Pretty much every company does this, and it's to give the people who pay hundreds of dollars to go to these things something cool that you can only get by going. Some companies handle exclusives better then others, I like to think DST will handle things differently this year but don't expect them to.

If you're that desperate to get everything a company releases then you can either pay the money to go to the con, and risk not getting one, or spend probably less money then going, and get one off eBay or some other website. This ship probably won't be more then $150 just like the BoP last year ended up being.

Like I said, when I contacted them they told me they don't know yet. Hopefully soon.

Got a new display case, mainly for these ships. I plan on trying to find risers to make them tiered so they display better.

Those stands are absolutely fantastic. I'd love to have all of them for the DST ships. Hell I wish DST made there stands look more like those.

I agree with both of the above.  The Reliant and the K'Tinga are my top two as well.

 

DST is crazy.  Do they really think anything else is going to sell as well as TOS (or TOS movie)? 

 

The name of the game is making money.  Not making us happy.  What would d that better than two of the most iconic designs in star trek (that they haven't done yet...)

 

Who wouldn't want Khan's ship from wrath of khan?  And don't get me started on the ktigna/D-7 the most iconic baddie design in star trek.

 

Defiant/warbird etc. will be nice to have, after they've done the most popular stuff.  Chuck denied the best choices in the latest ask DST.  I know they're going to do what they're going to do, I just think they're missing a sales opportunity.

Reliant is not on my list of must have ships, id buy Reliant, but its not something id be super excited for. I love Wrath of Khan, its my 2nd favorite trek movie but id take Defiant, Voyager, and the Enterprise C before id want a Reliant.

 

I also don't know how accurate it is saying a TOS ship would outsell a ship from TNG, especially when comparing it to a ship like the Defiant or an Enterprise thats NEVER been made in a large scale. 

 

My memory could be off, but in the past it seems Defiant, Voyager, and even the Enterprise C are brought up as requests more then the Reliant in AskDSTs. 

Although I feel the Defiant, Reliant, or another alien ship are far more likely I'm going to continue on hoping that the next ship is the Enterprise-C.  It's just too perfect of an opportunity to give the Ambassador some loving and complete the Enterprise lineage.

Did we just become best friends? I've been hoping for a C being next forever.

If one of the next ships is an original series romulan bird of prey, that will be the first new ship I pass on. I grew up on the original series but I think that design is boring and been done to death on multiple scales from multiple product lines. I certainly don't want to offend any lovers of that ship but I just don't see the appeal for it. Just my opinion but I don't begrudge anyone else's.

I agree about the TOS  Romulan BoP.  I have the playmates one and since the design is so simple it's good enough for me, I really wouldn't be interested in another incarnation of that ship.

Episodes 1 and 2 are bad, 3 to me was good except for Anakin being so whiny, the clone wars series massively improves his character for me though.

I think it was Episode 3 after Anakin and Obi-Wan get back to the senate building after crash landing the Sepratist ship they rescued the Chancellor from.

I really wish I could build models, id love a model of Pegasus or even the TOS Galactica, I just wish people didnt charge massive amounts of money to build them for you, I wouldnt even want lights or anything fancy. All my hopes are riding on Moebius releasing prebuilts of both of these kits.
