Dang. Is Walgreens gonna have these?

I really hope so. Thinking of getting another Kirk if I see it and maybe a Travis from Fear the Walking Dead to use the head for a possible redshirt. That Travis is all over here.

Also check around the DVD section at Target. They have Stranger Things figures there. These might show up

Hey can someone give me a quick tutorial on how to re-size pictures in posts? I wanted to post my pics directly but they were billboard sized.

Todd Macfarlane posted a letter to us fans that appears to be promising in regards to future offerings. It can be read now over at

I am impressed with these. I will say that aside from characters like Kes or Kai Win I will be all in. Here's hoping they dive deep and give us lots of characters.

It looks like Kirk is just a little bit shorter than Hopper. So these should be scaled great with Macfarlanes Destiny figures. Excellent!

Seeing Kirk next to Eleven, I realize she might make a good Miri custom!

I've got Jim on the way, but have held off on Picard as I wasn't initially sold on the sculpt. Although I'm hearing more that he looks better in hand. I think I'll hold on until I can see one in person, but lots of the pictures above are already starting to sway me.

The stuff from McFarlane above is more 'we're thinking about more' rather than 'we've got more ready to go' - Id love to see more at this quality and I hope they go deep, but at 2 figures per wave, it'll be the 23rd Century before we get any full bridge crews!

Well, David Harbour is 6' 3" and Shatner is 5' 10" so it works well enough.

Is it too early to start making wish lists??!!!

.

.

.

Don't care.... here goes!

Obviously we Need Spock next and then Worf or Data for a TNG lineup,

But very quickly I'd love to start seeing the rest of the captains.

If all we get are a full set of Captains I'd be impressed... and of course I'm gonna include DISCO in that because even flawed Captains get a seat at my Trek Table!

good thing as least according to the back of series 1 package, we will see spock and a character from st discovery as part of series 2. i would like to see them mix them per wave like 1 character per each series, which i hope helps give us a good complete crew.

I think Todd McFarlane's mind is on his new Spawn movie. Hopefully there will be nrw reveals at NYCC but I doubt it

MisterPL thats what I was meaning about the size difference. Picard and Kirk are both 510. I expect that Worf and Riker will be the same height as Hopper. I expect that Jeffrey Combs character and Sulu should be the size of the Destiny character I have. I like that height variation is addressed.

Long since discontinued I'm afraid. Poor sales. It's a shame as they're the most beautiful POTA figures out there. To be honest I think Neca shot themselves in the foot by not making Taylor. I know a few people who said they'd have gone all in on the line if they'd made Chuck. I'm glad we got what we got, but the decision to only make the apes was a mistake in my eyes.

After having these and playing with and posing them for a couple of days now here are my thoughts.

Sculpting on both are fantastic. Little details like being able to see the hem in the cuff of Kirks pants and Picards rank pips being sculpted are awesome. There is in a slight texture to the clothing. Kirks face is spot on and Picards is really good in hand. I think the pics online look off because the paint on Picards face is very subtle.

These are a little light on accessories but the ones the come with ar nicely done, with the exception of Kirks phaser. It is way to big. So fish out one of your old DST/AA phasers and you will be all set.

They have actual stands with a peg that fits in the bottom of the right foot. Nothing fancy but they do the trick to keep them upright. However they do stand on their own just fine.

The paint is a lot better than I have seen on a lot of McFarlanes figures in the past. It looks like the heads are actually molded in flesh tone with subtle shading on top. My Picard came out perfect but my Kirk however came with the left eye and eyebrow a little out of place. It wasn't bad but it made him look like he was looking to the left. I fixed it but this is one of those things that will make you probably want to find them in store to look them over first.

Now about the "size/scale" difference. There isn't actually a difference in scale, they just made either Picard to tall or Kirk to short. The hands can be swapped easily and the heads look like they should be able to be swapped easily too. Those are all the same size. After looking them over it looks like they made Picards torso a bit to long. Unfortunately this happens in a lot of different figure lines and has happened in McFarlanes Walking Dead line even between different versions of the same character over the years. You can buy three different versions of Rick Grimes and each one will be a different height. These at least fit together scale wise, unlike DST's version of TOS and TNG. Or even the variations between TNG figures themselves.I'm sure they will eventually do another Picard and he will most like be a different height. Lol.

My biggest concerns are the wrist pegs. They seem a little thin and I'm afraid I might brake one off while swapping hands. So take it easy.

Overall these are great figures. I see them being a huge step up from DST and AA. Kind of like how DST/AA was a huge step above Playmates. I really hope we get many more figures for years to come. I can't wait to see what they do with the aliens of a Trek.

I wonder if that was because Heston's likeness rights were too expensive. Either way it's a shame.
