I guess this doesn't count as an official announcement, but here it is.
Current ship estimate Feb. 2010. If it comes out, expect it no earlier than Labor Day 2010.

(Sorry...must control emotions...anger leads to hate...hate leads to suffering...suffering leads to more Kirk and Spock two packs...or something like that)

Admittedly, it is a bit of waste, though. Kirk would be better off coming with Gary Mitchell, and Spock could come with either Dehner (which would allow for a few more figure possibilities), or Scotty.

I think then that the only "Continuing" crew member left from the pilot into the regular series would be a "WNMHGB Scotty" Which would basically be pretty simple...

Exactly. Times are still tough, financially, for most companies. I know a lot of people here are constantly complaining about DST playing things too safe, but those are the circumstances right now. It can't be helped. People aren't spending as much money on toys these days, but Kirk and Spock are the ones that consistenly perform well despite of this. So DST has to do what is necessary and will keep the license alive until things get back to normal, or at least get back to a safer environment to take some risks with the releases. If they don't, then they won't be around anymore when things do finally pick up. Sure, it may seem boring to those of us harder core collectors who have seen and/or bought just about every figure DST and AA have made, but we are only a fraction of the overall customer base DST has to cater to.
