I saw it, too. Also, thankfully, I never bought that butt-ugly figure of Pee-paw Picard. roflmao.gif

Interesting.

Even if it is a new head sculpt...what an odd figure to release again.

The promo image seems the same as the original:

Incredibly weird, I think stores were glad to be rid of the original release. With the release of the AGT Ent-D, it makes sense, but vague sense. I'd rather see a command chair release of Admiral Riker, with him modified to be able to sit in it.

Maybe Picard is going to get the same treatment as Kirk and get a ton of releases and re-releases.

I have the original release of this... (well, 'had' it... it got customized into something else since it was so ridiculously huge)

Were all the Picard figures that badly out of scale? The only one on display on my shelf is the Nemesis one. I have the First Contact assault version, which also seems enormous, but I wasn't sure if the scale was fixed for any of the other releases.

It's gotta be some kind of mess-up on toynewsi's part. Where was he exclusive to? Toy rocket? I can't remember...

Yeah, he was a ToyRocket exclusive. Don't they still have him, and heavily discounted as well?

Edit: Yep, he's currently $4.99 at toyrocket.com.. and was apparently limited to a run of 3,000. sad.gif

Yeah, at that point this has to be a goof made at toynewsi. There's no way this figure is seeing anothe run if the first can still be had at $4.99...

He indeed was a Toyrocket Exclusive, and I have two of them actually...one loose and one MOC. I personally really liked this figure a lot, it looked really good, other than being hugely out of scale. It could be getting another limited release as a regular figure instead of Toyrocket exclusive. But who knows.

He had kind of 3 releases:

1. toyrocket exclusive

2. toyrocket exclusive with sdcc sticker

3. european release (non black&white label and named "Captain Jean Luc Picard" without mentioning "All Good Things")

Hm, lets wait and see... wink.gif

When's the next Trek Q&A scheduled for? wink.gif

Ah, who are we kidding? Even if it is a re-release, what are the chances of it actually coming out? tongue.gif

Oh, BadBunnyMike, by the way, if you do not know: They did a "European version" for Purple-Troi as well (I says Commander instead of Counselor on the label):

PS:
Go ahead and use the pictures for your site. smile.gif

Hey all,

This figure is exactly the same, just different packaging.

Take care,
Matty-lad
