No worries, man. TBH, I didn't even notice it was you until I was pasting it in - I was just on a whang of "MUST HAVE MORE INFO" googling. (whatever a whang is)

I just sent them this mail, as I couldn't get through to them today...

QUOTE (mail)
Hello,

My name is Destructor!!!.

I ordered a subscription to your Star Trek: The Official Starships
Collection on (I think) June 14th.

2 months later, and not only have I not recieved any magazines, I have
not been contacted by your company as others have. I phoned on June
25th, and was assured that I would have my first issue by the end of
that month. I tried to call today (an international call) but was kept
on hold for more than 10 minutes - at queue position "one".

To date, I have recieved nothing.

Through online contacts, I have learned that some people have recieved
the following letter packaged with an issue:
http://www.trektoy.c..._106_157050.jpg

Or a standalone letter explaining the demand (which is great!) and the
stock shortage as a result.

I have also learned that some people are recieving their issues out of
order, due to stock shortages on the ships for issues 1, 2, and 5.

I would simply like some official word on the matter - what is wrong,
what is being done to correct it, and when, roughly, I can expect to
begin recieving my issues.

I don't recall supplying you my e-mail address, so for the purposes of
matching this communique to my subscription order, my address is:

"A place",
Co. Carlow,
Ireland,
Earth,
Sector 001,
Orion Spur,
Milky Way,
Local Cluster,
Universe,
The Darkest Timeline,
Existence.

You may include this e-mail address on my account, and send me any
updates you have.

Thank you for your candour,
Sincerely, Destructor!!!.

Hehe, that was the most existentially complete address I've ever seen! smile.gif
"Candour"? My Irony Meter just overloaded. Jumpin' Jesus, could they be any more cagey?
Best of luck with the Evil Eaglemoss Empire, mate. Fight the power!

Well... doesn't get more candid than this:

QUOTE (Hannah)
Dear Destructor!!!,

Thank you for your e-mail.

This was a test subscription which has now been suspended until futher notice. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Kind regards

Hannah

Well! Drive a stake through my heart, why don't you?

My response:

QUOTE (DeStructoar)
Hello, Hannah,

Thank you for your response.

Would you care to elaborate? Why was I not informed of the nature of
the subscription when I subscribed? Will my subscription still apply
if/when publication resumes?

Does "until further notice" mean that your company is bolstering stock
before going forward with a more robust roll out?
Or is it a euphemistic way of saying that the part-work been cancelled?

Either way, I must say I'm very disappointed. I was looking forward to
the fine models (which, from photographs I've seen online, posted by
people fortunate enough to actually receive the magazine, look
superb!), as well as the insight promised by the articles and regular
features.

Thank you for your candour,
- Destructor!!!

Wow, what a Mongolian Cluster Kriff this line has turned out be, Destructor.

A pal of mine in the UK is gonna call them about a new subscription this week. If I hear anything new (and if he's able to subscribe), I'll let you know.
Questions: Did they debit your account? Do you think your location is an issue?

No: they didn't debit my account, and

Possibly: but they said it was no problem when I was ordering.

It's close-of-business hour in the UK, and I've had no response.

Oh SWEET!

I forgot to post up the response I got from Eaglemoss to my last mail:

QUOTE (Hannah from Eaglemoss)
Dear Destructor!!!,

Thank you for your reply.

When this collection was launched we ourselves were not aware that it was a test collection, this is at the publishers discression and they have now decided to suspend publication.

If and when the publication resumes you will be notified and at that stage you can chose to subscribe if you are still interested.

Kind regards

Hannah

Well, the banner on their site has updated, indicating that subscriptions are open for the Early 2013 release we've been hearing about. I'll have to check if my original subscription still applies.

QUOTE (Star Trek The Official Starships Collections' Facebook page)
Star Trek Starships:

Hello from Team Eaglemoss!

Facebooker:
Hey guts, looking well, enjoy Destination London, pity I couldn't be there, would've loved to check out your presentation.

Me:
Are the schematics on the backdrop an indication of ships that will be featured?

Star Trek Starships:
Hi Destructor!!!, yes indeed!

So, what have we got here?

Aside from the previously shown ships, I see:
8472 Bioship, Defiant, Peregrine, Klingon D5(?), Maybe a Devore ship?...

Furthermore:

QUOTE (Star Trek The Official Starships Collections' Facebook page)
Me:
Thanks for the reply! Are you guys working exclusively off CBS-Digital's CGI files, or are you crafting some of your own to fill the gaps (for instance where only a physical studio model was ever used)?

Star Trek Starships:
Let me ask Ben, the Project Chief, and get back to you...
Ben says: Where there is a CBS model we're using that. In the rare instances where there isn't one members of the original VFX team (Mojo) are supervising the construction of a new CG model. Cheers. EM

Me:
That's magnificent, thanks!

Eaglemoss has released a low-rez copy of the poster! Thanks to darthMagnus for finding it and ReverendStrone for the annotated guide in the post below.

As we've discussed, we seriously wonder if the ships chosen for the poster have anything to do with upcoming starship releases. There are some mighty obscure ships mixed in there.

Have fun y'all!

You're very welcome! I look forward to seeing these in stores in the UK in February as I missed the test run they did.......the first five issues.....as I don't live in the UK anymore, just go over there once a month, lol! I'm posting comments and questions on Eaglemoss' facecrap page.....not a big fan of that site.....since I'm also curious about their Batmobiles collection and letting them know I don't want the Marvel Figurines collection to end just yet. I need them to make a Gwen Stacy and MJ before they finish,LOL! I only get the Spidey related ones, lol! But apparently they ARE ending it on issue 200. This Star Trek ships collection could go on for AGES though! LOL!

Have fun y'all!

Great list there and they seem to be spreading out the more interesting / fan favourite ships, although how they plan to fill a magazine with some of those is beyond me, the Enterprise-J for example literally had one blurry shot in Enterprise! Probably about 45 on that list I would really want, the rest not overly fussed about but there are a few I don't recognise by name (mostly Voyager ones).
