I know people aren't that enthusiastic about the prospect of another Kirk, but if we have to get another Kirk, this is the one I want anyway. Kirk was awesome in Trek III and IV. The Spock will be cool to have too.

ST III/IV Kirk is one of the figures I've been hoping to see for a long, long time. Unfortunately I have to stop collecting for a while, but given DST's release dates, if nothing else I should be able to put it on my Christmas list... for 2011...

Cool two pack. Kirk is my favorite character and the one character that encompasses all aspects that made Star Trek so great, so I'm happy about this two pack. I agree we have a good 1 1/2 years before we get this figure anyway!

Well, we knew that Spirk was always going to be the way forward, annoying to us though it is. Obviously the dudes sell. As I said on PT it does allow those of us who are less bothered about small details to mix and match with our TWOK figures to get a generic movie crew with some colour and variation. So Uhura's not in a mini, so Scotty isn't in a girdle, they'll all look cool together!

But please DST, sculpt a new movie Shatner head at some point.

These look pretty good, I just hope they do something about the giraffe neck on Kirk before release.

This one actually looks pretty cool. I am not enthused about yet another Kirk and Spock...but at least it is pretty different than the others.

The thing I like about these is that they're not your run of the mill Starfleet Uniformed figures. I love the Spock. Wonder how hard it would be to customise it into a Black robe spock from TWOK?

I hope the Spock figure comes with an extra head, one without the head band. They did it for the FC Data, they can do it for Spock too!

I pondered that myself... With a bit of photoshop work:

That's just with recoloring, body part swapping (TVH Spock arms on TWOK Spock) and hiding the TWOK uni. insignia and belt buckle. Obviously, judging by the picture below from TMP (same robe as in TWOK, but in TWOK he had the turtleneck on underneath instead of the purple shirt), it would require some retooling to be more accurate, but it really looks like it would serve as a really helpful base.

Will this use the TWOK head sculpt, or the TMP one? I the the TMP one would be to young, since TVH is set 16 years later. spock2.gif

It looks like it's been modified from the TWOK headsculpt.

They should use the TMP head sculpts instead, and just paint them to look older. spock2.gif

DST changed the shipping date for this two-pack. Now it will be released, hopefuly, in 06/24/09

If it's not on the water, it's not making that date.
