Hey everyone! The Gem City Comic con is coming up on April 11th, 2010. I was wondering if anyone in these parts might be going? Sallah, Reverie?
Thought we could meet up, maybe do lunch. It would be nice to be able to put a face w/ an Avatar

I would certainly be up for it, but sadly I'll be out of town that weekend. Otherwise I'd have been in! Hopefully some others can make it down and let us know how it was (I don't see anyone on the guest list I'd be upset at missing myself).

Ah that's too bad Reverie. Oh well maybe next year or if you come down for Mid-Ohio in the fall or if I come up for the Toledo show. My best friend and I are planning to hit has many shows as possible this year.

Hey FHC- It opens at 10:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm on Sunday. All the dealer tablers are sold out. There is supposed to be around 100. This is the third year I have gone and the 4th year they have had it. I have seen it get bigger each year. They are considering, depending how it goes this year, to expanding to two days. I really enjoy it more than Mid-Ohio (which Wizard has now taken over-bleh). Its only $6 to get in ($5 if you print off the coupon at gemcitycon.com) and I love it cause it's 30 minutes from my house. Steve Englehart is the main guest plus Joe Jusko and they really support the local independent writers and artist.

Looks like about 90 miles each way for me. It's within reach.

If I knew a couple weeks ago I probably could have made it. My excuse this time isn't that I'll be out of town, it's that I'll have been out of town both surrounding weekends, so money would be the issue. I'll definitely be at the Novi Con in Michigan, though that'll probably be Sunday since we've got a wedding to go to Sat. And I'm not 100% sure, but I may go to Chicago for the first time if what my friend says is true of a guest...
