Just give us a wave of TNG retro-cloth figures and I would be happy! This would be the most economical way to get a Q in judges robes! That would be a must!

Anything to do with Yar would be awesome. The Data 2-pack makes sense.

Troi wouldn't be that hard to do. It's a new hairpiece which others require anyway. Couldn't they just use the jumpsuit & paint it green? Maybe add a little plastic belt which is a seperate piece.

Ofcourse if you are talking skant Troi...there is no chance.

Scant chance of a skant Troi?

Love the idea of the Yar/Data 2-pack. Of course, once you have the Yar body...you can do a Beverly...If they went with only 2-packs:

Picard/Q (Ideally in Judge Robes)
Data/Yar
Riker/Troi - (SDCC Season 2 variant...re-release Maroon Troi with the Bearded head Riker on the Season 1 body)
Worf/LaForge - (SDCC Season 2 Variant is an easy step from here, p.s.)
Crusher/Wes
Pulaski/Guinan

Still doesn't address the severe lack of aliens, though...I'd love to see more aliens.

Oh Pickard! biggrin.gif

I am a definate bun Troi supporter. And I'm sure the figure would be easy enough using Troi's casual outfit:

My S1 sets would be:

Worf/Tasha
Data/Beverly
Geordi/Deanna

Don't need Picard & Riker again. Unless they want to put Picard on a shorter body.

I think Guinan could be made by putting a soft plastic 'dress' piece over the Troi body.

I really didn't care for that look on Sirtis. I think she looked the best in Her "Far point" Skant and in her Season 7 uniform. The cat suites just weren't flattering to her IMO.

Actually I'd like to get away from DST and let I wasnt all that impressed with what they did for TNG
I definitely don't want to pay those high prices anymore especially not for a two pack.

I'd like to see Hasbro pick up TNG and make some really good figures WITH stands with pegs on them not those silly transporter bases lol.
That would be my fantasy TNG toy line.

Yes, a toy acknowledgement is a must, and it's a good way to actually go after a TNG line rather than simply sitting on the license. Here are a couple of things I'd do:

Ships:
1. Enterprise-D reissue with the Windows painted on correctly this time
2. Enterprise-C to round out the original ship, A, B, D, AND E!

Trek Tek:
1. Phaser/Science Tricoder two-pack
2. "Dustbuster" Phaser/Medical Tricoder two-pack

Figures:
Keep it simple; ships and Tek seem to sell with relative ease, stick to season one uniforms for figures that haven't been released yet, and give us "Q" in Judges robes, as well as in his Captain's Uniform; "Captain Q" could come with the Captain's Chair that Riker and Picard came with. Likewise, it'd be nice to see Worf and Yar and Wesley and Geordi as season one two-packs, or Riker without his beard as 25th Anniversary figures. I'd rather have the ships and Tek though, but I'd rather have any TNG figure over another Kirk/Spock variant any day. If TOS has to be dragged into this line, how about "old McCoy from "Encounter at Farpoint," or "Relics Scotty," and maybe "Unification Spock" as well; that'd satisfy the TOS crowd and still keep the focus on TNG.

Data/McCoy two pack would do nicely.

In 2012 if DST still have a license then yeah I think there should be some CBS/DST toy tie-in, ideally - using TheHSBR's idea of havinf DST coninue with the tech and ships as they are now and producing figures that are highly detailed and marketed to the collector - I'd like to see a year dedicated to Star Trek: The Next Generation in Figures - perhaps this kind of thing:

All new sculpts - totally new toy line (regardless of character being released prior to this):

Celebrating 25 Years of Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Collectors line:

Captain Picard (Season 7)
Mr Data (Season 7)
Q In Juge Robes (All Good Things)
Ambassador Spock (Unification)
Lt Yar (Skin of Evil)
Hugh Borg (I,Borg)

Each figure would be sold with accessories specific to that character and episode, each figure would come with a very nice display stand as well as a bio on the back of the packaging card - all the packaging would follow a uniformed look and would be designed to appeal at collectors and fans of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

The Ship released that year would hopefully be a TNG Romulan Warbird and a re-release of the USS Enterprise - NCC - 1701 - D

The Tech released that year would be a TNG Type 2 Phaser and Communicator Pin

My thinking would be that DST dedicate a year to each of the incarnations of Star Trek - including movies as well as The Animated Series.
