This is just awesome! hE-MAN.ORG has a great Q&A about the line. the best thing about it is its going to be a purely collectors based line. They've also said that its going to have wide spread distribution. Honestly ive never seen a mass marketed collectors line so im really excited about the possibilities. I think this is going to be spectacular and I really hope this line succeeds where others have failed!

Cheers for the info, I just went & checked it out.

Very cool to hear they will be including Princess of Power characters. It would be soo sweet to finally see Dream Weaver in action figure form. And Madame Razz, not to mention Adora...who I'm happy to see was shown on a graphic:

They mentioned they can make Queen Marlena because she was in a mini-comic before the filmation series, but characters unique to the Filmation series such as Lizard Man are not allowed...is this correct?

I wonder how many interesting characters that eliminates??

Well from what i gathered from he-man.org and the article you provided is that if the character appeared anywhere else besides the cartoon it is fair game. If the character only appeared in the cartoon (filmation) then it cant be made. So the big question is what other sources are they including? Does the DC/Marvel comic count? Does the new MV Creations stuff work? Obviously the new cartoon is fair game because of the greyskull figure. They also hinted that New Adventures is fair game. This has always been a big problem with heman. I can remember an interview with Val Staples ( who did the most recent comic series) discussing the convoluted licensing process. Apparently he had a whole story arc developed but it was never to be because the powers that be stepped in and said he didnt have the rights. It just seems ludacris to me that Mattel let the rights to characters get so out of order. But anyhoo, Im just really excited to see a new he-man back in stores!

I recall reading about the problems in regards to what is canon & what is not with this license.

Some really funky work of the 4Horsemen to make the box for Greyskull open up to a display!

This is going to be fantastaic! I can't wait to get these.
The King Grayskull looks great! I'm surprised as hell they're doing these figures again. I hope they do better than last time.
My luck they won't be at any wal mart or k mart and i'll have to find them online somewhere

After hearing this news, I'm suddenly thinking to myself.......

Bah...

The more figures I collect, the less personal items I seem to have! I don't even know where they disappear to, but all that's left now is....action figures, lots of action figures! biggrin.gif

I agree. The articulation on this figure is excellent! The articles state that this is a Comic Con exclusive that will make it to toy shelves. Soooo, we will be able to get this guy in stores?

Figures.com has an article about the new figures with a picture of King Grayskull as a staute:
