Neat! Is that a mego line? I'm not familar with that one. What's the scale on it?

No, that's the Playmates 9" line that ran in the 1990's and had about 90 figures of all series (minus Enterprise). They also had a 12" line with cloth uniforms.

Ah Ha! I don't collect any Playmates stuff. I picked up a few of the 3 3/4 figures once, but they just weren't my cup of tea, so I passed on that entire era.

Gothneo, I've been using Imageshack to host my pics lately. Once you register, they send you a link and you just upload from your computer. Plus it will even resize the pics depending on how you want to use it. So far I've only used it for my avatars, but plan on moving most of my pics over there pretty soon. Hope that helps and Berns, I agree, the Playmate line of Trek dolls were great wink.gif And I'm jealous you actually have a Mego Uhura Gothneo tongue.gif I still have fond memories of my Star Trek Mego collection smile.gif

Thanks Donster... I was wondering if the site actually supported the resizing of picts... I host my own stuff, and can re-size it, but it's just a pain make several versions.

See, my problem is that I have a trial version of Photoshop and it doesn't let me edit my pics. I have a Comcast account, but it's pretty useless for the most part when I get too many pics on there. Glad I could help, can't wait for some pics.

I agree those all plastic 3 3/4 Playmates figures aren't that great. But the 9" line was very Mego-like. I would even go as far as to call them superior because of the scale and the detailing. If you love the Megoes, you should at least try to chack the 9" Playmates lines.

I'll will second Bern's on that Gothneo biggrin.gif The 9" line is a great line and fairly offordable in the secondary market for the most part.

Hmmmm...

I see what your saying, it looks like they can be had on eBay for under $10 for many figures.

Of course it would be better to find some shop that wants to move them.

That Mego Scotty must really be one of the first produced. It has the old cylinder-shaped wrists instead of the newer ball-shaped wrists.

Don't know that much about the different versions of Mego, I won him on eBay for about $15 and thought he was in pretty good shape.

He has all his original gear, but his badge has lost its "Shine"

That Spock mego figure is one of my favorite figures ever. As you can tell with my avatar, i have 1 or 2, or 10 or 20 of them. The scotty Mego was the "Type 1" figure that was produced in the beginning of Mego's run of figures. The "Type 2" were a much superior design, more durable and much more posable. No comparison really. The new TNG figures from DST are almost exactly the same scale as these Mego figures.

Yep Unfortunately, Spocks original shirt on that figure was in less than stellar condition... it's ok, but the McCoy I got had no shirt, so I bought two from Dr. Mego to make them look more alike.

You can see that my Mego Spock has a bit more wear than the Scotty or Uhura, but I did not pay more than $10 for him so I can't complain smile.gif

This Spock also had a Type 1 body.
