Spotted this on Gizmodo, and the full product will be unveiled at comic-con.

Not something I'd buy (a TNG one would be damn tempting), but it looks lovely all the same - that box is glorious. I'm not up on the TOS phaser in terms of being able to say whether it's a good sculpt or not, but this looks really nice for what it is. :)

I'm guessing this is from the wand company that made the harry potter wands and sonic screwdriver remote controls.

If it's anything like those it'll be amazing quality and pretty accurate to the actual prop since it's made from a scan of the one used on the show.

Looks like it falls somewhere between DST and Master Replicas in terms of quality. I'd buy it even if it didn't have the remote feature. How awesome would a TNG boomerang or dolphin replica be of that quality and in a case like that?!  Or how about an ENT phase pistol with removable power cell?  *grin*

I'm more then likely getting it, owning the 2 sonic screwdriver remotes by them I'm expecting the quality to be amazing. Each time they make a new product it's even better then the last.

WOW, didn't see that. In fact, I've NEVER thought about that, and I'm a massive gamer - a vibration motor IN a phaser. :D

Zach, how much would that add to the cost of a phaser from DST?!

The pics of this thing from SDCC make it look way more plasticy and toy-like than the original images released. I'm back on the fence with this one.

Just went searching, and found this:

If they make a Next Gen phaser (any except the Dustbuster), that'd be an instant purchase if it was as good as that! :D
