Just like the title says. Diamond has anounced the 4th wave of Stargate figures and it will be the beginning of Atlantis. The first three figures will be Lt. Col. John Shepard, Elizibeth Weir, and a Wraith. Shepard and Weir will both have a couple of different versions and they will come with pieces to build the Atlantis Gate. You can read about it over at DST's site here.

I can't wait to see pics of these. biggrin.gif

Very cool, I hope DST can release this inbetween waves of SG-1. I also hope that whoever sculpts the weapons does a better job this time around. I don't see a release date on these, I wonder if these will be right after wave 3 of SG-1.

I would really like to collect the SG1 and Atlantis figures, but the exclusive figure thing with them is just like it is with the Star Trek figures and i can hardly keep up with the Trek stuff so it would be very hard to collect all of the Stargate stuff too as a completist MIB collector .

That is why I just buy the set from newforce. No fuss No muss. You get them all (even the exclusives) for a great price. And even the Con exclusives are offered somewhere at a later date and are never super expensive.

The SG1 figures are great and they seem to be getting better the more they do so hopefully the SGA figures will be even better.

I have never had a problem with the exclusives for SG-1. I order from Newforce and they usually have a great deal for the figures, Rick even sent me a Free Comic Book Day O'Neil with my first order.

So what does everyone think wave 2 will be?

McKay of course, but will it be Ronin? Ford, or Telya?
and the thrid slot, who will that go to? A Genjii? another Wraith?

I think the Wraith and Genjii are pretty much the only enemies to Atlantis...besides the new Replicators.

I'm not sure how they will be structured, but I think waves 2 and 3 will feature six characters:

McKay
Teyla
Beckett
Ford
Ronin
Wraith Queen

The Wraith queen would be the alien in one wave and Ronin will be the alien in the other since there is really only one version of Ronin that is viable at this point.

Good call, I forget that Ronin is an alien in SGA.

They could possibly do 2 versions of Ronin. One with his trench coat and one without. He uses both looks pretty equally in the show.

Does anyone have a picture of a Pegasus Galaxy DHD? Is it very different from the Milky Way DHD? Might me a cool item to include with the figures.

The Pegasus Galaxy DHD is the same as the one from the Milkyway. The primary differences are that both the keys and the central hemisphere in the Pegasus Galaxy are blue and the fact that the Pegasus DHDs are newer, and obviously feature a different coordinate system specific to that galaxy. Also the DHD keys are made of a reflective, glass-like material.

They could do a DHD from a jumper or the one from Atlantis itself which are both drasticaly different from the ones in the Milky Way.

DST would probably reuse the DHD they are planning on releasing with wave 3 for an Atlantis DHD. It would only make sence and would keep the cost down. I don't see them releasing the DHD from a Jumper as it would look off with out the pilot and co pilot seats. The same for the Atlantis DHD unless they released the hole control console.
