Got a new 8.1 digital camera and took a few test shots of my Romulan BoP which I did some work on several months back.
As seen here, the ship from the front. I added the back edge detail on the wings, with some gloss red and yellow mixed (didn't have any orange handy at the time) till i found as near to the right shade to match the orange Bird on the underside of the hull.
Here as seen from above I used the lines molded into the hull by Playmates Toys as a guide and painted the back edge of the wings and the back edge of the primary hull. I masked off the afte sections of the wings and hull to prevent slop, and what little the was , I carefully scraped off with my Xacto blade. I also took a pencil and filled in the arc of windows on the top of the primary hull, then later redid it with a black gel pen.
Here is a closer shot of the bow of the ship, I colored in the windows.
Here is the aft of the ship, which I also colored the windows.

Nice work! I don't have that toy, if you'd just posted the shots and not mentioned your work, I'd have thought that's how it came!

Thank you, I picked up awhile back from a collector who was thinning out his stock, and i opened it up and the Bird on the bottom is molded in and beautifully painted. But the top was left undone. Which bothered me a bit. So flash forward a few months, I looked up some refrence shots online and then painted it while Doctor Who played in the background.

Dude !!! That looks so cool with the Romulan Centurion !!! You did a great job with the painting of the orange on top and the windows !! I hope DST someday releases the Mark Lenard Romulan Commander figure..... I wont hold my breath though.
