For those of you who invested in this toyline to obtain all the pieces for the bridge playset.. did playmates ever release the remaining pieces or are we SOL.

If so, I am probably going to donate or sell all the figures and playsets that I purchased from the 2009 Movie.

I know this is probably old news but haven't followed up on this topic in a while.

Wave 2 was advertised at some online store, but then I heard orders were cancelled. There is a new movie in the works for 2013, so we might get the rest of the bridge yet. You can still do the front half by getting 3 extra figures; Kirk, Pike, and I think Sulu. These pieces are the same as the ones that are missing from the front. I suppose you could use more of them for the back but those are supposed to look different. The bridge and transporter are still available on clearance for $10 at places like TRU.

Hasbro has the license now, so I don't think we will ever see the remaining bridge pieces... I picked up another bridge set and more of the existing figures to fudge what was missing... these figures are getting harder to find so if you are planning on doing this I wouldn't wait too long. sad.gif

How does it look?

Here in Australia we didn't get the bridge pieces with the single packed figures, so all I have is the playset itself with the captains section. Not sure yet if I want to hunt down a few lots of the US 4" figures to try & complete the playset (or 'fudge' completion anyway).

I thought about doing it and went so far as to buy a bunch of extras but then i thought for what? The line was dead and I dont think the overall display would have been that impressive anyway with a kitbash.

My problem with the set is that it is flat and in the movie it is multilevel. I want to do a build up of the base to look more like the movie.

I saw a custom that had risers built into it. I think they used the mat as a template to cut different levels.
I think it was made with Foamcore and they seemed to have kept the plastic for the floor. I saw it on eBay, so it must be true smile.gif

I built one using that as a guideline. It was insanely easy and it looked great. Mits such a huge piece though that I don't have it on display at the moment. Two big pieces of white foam core and glue and you can exacts knife the pieces really simply.

Are the pieces shown in this review of the playset all that were produced?
http://trekmovie.com...-trek-playsets/

So the whole back section of the set is still missing?

Yes. You can fudge the 2 consoles from figure packs and the 2 glass panels from another set, but you would have to custom the 2 standing consoles.

Hmmm...might be worth investigating this then.

I could remove the standing consoles (which we don't have anyway) & put the larger screens from a second Bridge playset where they would go. Fill in the space.

The review posted above states Uhura, old Spock & Nero do not include Bridge pieces so atleast I don't have to hunt down those three. Just 2 sets of the other figures (again, because we didn't get any bridge pieces here in Oz)

Looking at eBay to see who includes what coloured chair (If it even matters - though it seems we need more blue)
Kirk - Red
Checov - Red
Sulu - red
McCoy - Blue
Scotty - Blue
Pike - Blue

This should be fun! biggrin.gif

I can still get Sulu, Chekov, and Nero at Big Lots here for $3 each. Just strapped for cash at the moment. They both have the same console piece.
