I started on this puppy the other day.

Here are the casting marks that I want go get rid of

For example, here is the top sanded down.

Clean out the grooves

Now it's time for a bath to get the mold release off that was not removed during the sanding.

Next we PRIMER!!!

I have not made up my mind yet. I don't want to get to involved with this as I know that it is going to get broken. LOL Still I can't help myself I had to sand it down all slick before I primered it. I can tell you that I am going to use what I have on hand, not going to go buying paint. Buying paint would double my cost in it. LOL

Oh, this is to go along with your uniform, right?

Did this come from blufive? How do you like it?

I don't think this is one of Doug's kits, this looks like a recast of an Ed M....

Ok I got it done today. I know the colors are off. In some cases way off, but I wanted to do this cheap kit from stuff that I had at the house. I think that it came out well enough to use with my movie uniform. This kit does make me want to pick up a better one and do it right. If you look right at the front you can see where I dropped it. Also the base of the handle has some drop damage. One of these days I am going to do a kit and not drop it.

When you get your uniform, do you think you could post pics? I would love to see how it turns out. I'm thinking of getting a FC style uniform from Shadow Dale so I would like to see how their work is apart from their TOS uniforms.

Well done mate. It will be a handsome sidearm for your costume.
