Someone on the Funko boards ask specifically about a character from the Nightmare Before Christmas line that is confined to a wheelchair, about how they would articulate that character. Reis mentioned that for characters requiring such articulation to be seated that knees is a possibility that they are looking into. So maybe this will apply to Star Trek as well.

I reeeeeeeeeeally want to know what the TNG line will be/look like. Anyone have any ideas? (I'm sure it's too early...but I'm just curious) I'd love it to be season one, including Bunhead or Cheerleader Troi and Rainbow Sweater Wesley. They could easily do some season two variants for SDCC. Or some limited edition Data skin color variants for nostalgia sake.

I got wave two over the weekend at Barnes & Noble. No sign of Kirk though. A lot of people are complaining about disproportionate heads on these, but I was ok with Kenner's big head Han Solo as a kid, so I'm fine with these! I can't wait to see what else comes down the pipe from Funko. Chekov will be included for sure. I'm hoping for Klingon, Romulan, Salt Vampire, Mugatu, Andorian, Tellarite, Khan, Chapel and Rand. I would really like for this line to go further.

Yeah I would like to see this line go further too, but my worry is that it isn't. They seem to be doing just the base characters for every line they do then moving on to something else. I'm hoping when they do TNG it will be later season versions as it will compliment the Galoob line. I'm holding off on TOS though until they go further with the line, I don't want to buy into this line if it's just the base crew.

See...and I was hoping they'd start with Season One to complete the Galoob line. Picard and Data are the same in both seasons, Riker, Geordi and Worf could have SDCC Season Two exclusives (repaints!), and then we could get Yar, Bunhead Troi, Rainbow sweater Wesley, and Dr. Crusher. I'd love to see more of these and, if they DO dip into TNG as I think they're supposed to, I'd probably be the guy that buys two of each so I can open a set. The price point is great. Granted, I prefer the 6" figures with detail, etc...but that's not happening for Trek right now. (Not counting the DST select line...it's too limited and probably not going to last, IMHO)

Funko's lead designer Reis O'brien said in the Q&A's that there would be variants for TOS like Torn shirt Kirk so maybe this will happen for TNG. I also, hope for 1-2 Season TNG characters and aliens.

I'm fine with season 1 and 2 so long as they are not the exact same ones Galoob already did. I would definitely get Romulan, Rainbow Wesley, Dr. Crusher and Troi!

I kinda doubt they will do TNG S1/S2.

Those really aren't the most iconic versions of the characters, and this line is all about iconic.

Will be surprised if they do.  I certainly would prefer a yellow shirt Geordi over red, and same with Worf.

Either way, though, they've got my $$.

You're probably right...but then again...there's a retro component to TNG at this scale that COULD go this direction. (Fingers crossed). All I've seen for their SDCC showings are their currently available exclusives...which are plentiful. Does anyone know if we'll see any prototypes from them? I'd love to live vicariously through pictures.

The thing with going the retro Galoob route is that for the most part (and I know there are notable exceptions) they're still relatively easy to get.

That's true. Even some of the aliens can be found for $25-$40. Still...a complete first season crew has always been a dream of mine. I was always irritated with Playmates when they did a few from season one and a few from season two to go with the Yar and Pulaski figures. I've especially always wanted a good Troi in that silly bun and the Rainbow sweater Wesley.

They have never done full crews from the Season 1 or 2. The OCD side of me would definitely like to have this oversight corrected. I'd definitely prefer they start with the later, more familiar season looks first, and then give us season 1 and 2 looks as variants and retailer exclusives. I don't see myself mixing my Galoob and Reaction figures together, as the aesthetic of the two lines are different and that would bother the hell out of me! Lol I really hope to see a more accurate Q in Judges Robes.

Bah! I'm currently on a pre-order freeze...but I hope I'll be able to get those before they're gone. They look great and I love the photo switch on the card. These ReAction figures are oddly charming to me and I like keeping them on the card. Plus...with no other new Trek figures (not counting DST...I feel they're pretty much done) I can handle these at their price point.

According to Reis O'Brien, Funko's lead designer we will be seeing Wave 1 of Star Trek: The Next Generation figures this Fall. Sadly it looks like that unless any retailers want to pick up TOS as an exclusive we wont be getting a Chekov to complete our crew which really sucks! Does anyone know if New Force Comics is still in business? They provided a shimmer of hope for exclusives that wouldn't have been made in the past. Anyone here have any current information about New Force?

Since they mentioned they plan to phase out the Reaction line in favor of their new 3 3/4" line I wonder if TNG could be part of that instead of the regular reaction figures.

I really don't want to get into these if they're not going to have more characters, I've been waiting to see if more TOS wold come out before buying. I don't need a partial main crew in yet another scale, I'm not going to collect a new line of figures unless it offers more variety and/or something new.

Sadly it looks to be only a wave of four for TNG in the Reaction 5 POA similar to the first waves of Reaction TOS. It doesn't look like they will be moving forward with more TOS waves either. It looks like Megabloks and Mezco will be my source for Star Trek figures in 2016.

Actually, I have several of those already and will add to the collection. Hopefully they will add on more characters.
