Since they are doing some of the ships from the books, I would love to see some of the Full Circle fleet from the Voyager books.

Ben mentioned before that the Franklin was the hardest model he has had to do for this collection, there is an interview at the end of the review here explains why that was:-

http://trekcore.com/...al-issue-model/

Basically Ben was given the CG model before the film was released, however the model was changed after that point but by the time the movie was released he had already done most of the work the physical model and they wouldn't give him new CG model. So then he tried to modify it based on short clips from trailers as he wasn't allowed to post-pone the release until after the Blu-ray of the movie came out.

That explains why there are differences between the Eaglemoss version and the earlier QMX Franklin as that one will have been based on same CG model that Ben got, but presumably without alteration.

The paint also created difficulty which is what people suspected.

It seems strange that CBS/Paramount wouldn't have given them the newer CGI model. They did a pretty good job given the circumstances.

Very excited for Cheyenne, Sydney, Challenger, Springfield, Daedalus, and Nebula-class Phoenix with sensor pod.

That's interesting that they're dipping into books now. ::scratches head:: I guess it's possible we may an Ambassador-class repaint as USS Excalibur from the New Frontier books -- that's kind of a major thing, even though not a new model per se.

My old horizontal display case just wasn't cutting it any more for these ships.  So, I was forced to find another display solution.  I happened to notice by accident recently that the ships fit perfectly in IKEA Besta wall cabinets with 5 glass shelves each.  So I bought 4 of them and hung them above the case.

Each cabinet holds 36 ships. so I have room for 144 up there.  Only 3 of the standard ships are too tall to fit - the Borg Sphere by a hair, the Bajoran Sailing Vessel, and the Xindi Insectoid.  I force-squeeze the TNG Warbird into a bottom shelf which has a tiny bit more height to it.

Then down below in the old case I am displaying the specials, shuttles, and the 3 that don't fit.  Hope not to run out of room again down there!

I also don't have much room for the plaques anymore.  Original plan was to some day put them on uniform wood backs and hang them above the case but now the new wall cabinets are there...  You know, I might just not even bother buying the Franklin plaque.  Seems like reaching to give us wall plaques beyond the hero ships.  Even Defiant seemed like a stretch.

When will this series end?!?!?!

How many ships are left for them to do is a good question.

200 is a crazy number of ships.

Thanks!  The question is, how many ships will people buy?  I have to imagine those numbers are trailing off with each new odd & end...  but I'm in to the end, I think...  Though now that it's dipping into STO apparently, I have a little voice telling me to think that over.

It's dipping into STO?

The main ship I'd want from STO is the Enterprise F/ Odyssey.

I second this. Its as close to a canon Enterprise F as were likely going to get.

I dare say that if CBS released Enterprise G, H and I designs to be done, id likely get them too as long as they were well thought out and not like the TOS redo ships. But i may be alone in that.

As it is, im collecting them all so if its a special or shuttle pack or regular issue, im getting it. Oversized issues i may pick up later. Still not sold. And im not sure about plaques either. But maybe in the future.

I thought I saw a "smuggler's ship" a page or two back along with a "JJ Warbird" special planned. I looked both of those up and saw they are in STO. Is there another canon source for those I'm not aware of?

The Warbird was in Into Darkness during the Kobyashimaru test, it's the Klingon Warbird.

I'm not sure what the smuggler ship is from.

The Spock two-parter. It's the ship that is nicking stuff from the salvage yard, attacks the Enterprise, and is then destroyed by a single retaliatory strike. Also, whilst the Aventine (and possibly the Titan, I don't know) is in STO, that's not where it's originally from: There's a novel/series of novels called 'Destiny', that follow the adventures of Captain Ezri Dax. The Aventine is her ship.

Think of it and the Titan as 'Expanded Universe' ships.

I'd imagine that if the Aventine sells well and the Titan sells well then we may see more "non canon" ships pop up throughout this subscription and also when they begin the Star Trek: Discovery part works.

Did I say Into Darkness? My bad, it's the 2009 movie.

Speaking of which, a model of the Kobayashi Maru from the movie.
