A thread for some recent auction results.

Enterprise-E in First Contact box sold for $55.00 + $11.70 shipping, in a pretty good C-8 box after an impressive 42 bids. That's practically a fistfight in the toy aisle -- who'd have thunk in this day and age? Perhaps it's the holiday toy hunting spirit, people are nostalgic for the 1990s.

USS Defiant, sealed in near-mint box with #18602, went for $132.50 + free shipping.

These are still bringing megabucks, despite everything, but then again this was genuinely in the top 3 vehicles done by the manufacturer.

Thanks Morgan, it's interesting to get some idea how much I'd stand to make if I ever completely lost my fucking mind and sold my collection!

Insurrection-boxed Enterprise-E in box recently brought $51.00 + $14.15 shipping after 18 bids.

This one has attracted lively bidding in recent months. This was not a hugely rare thing per se when it was new, but given the fact that the mfr didn't really do a whole lineup of figures it was a bit lonely on the shelves.

First Contact boxed Enterprise-E, generated $55.00 + $11.70 shipping in November 2017, after 42 bids.

Kinda interesting to see that long of a bidding battle, and a price that high -- nearly $67.00 at the door. I guess with the holiday season coming up, it was the only boxed one available that week.

These were not hot sellers, weirdly enough, back when the film came out. I remember the day I bought mine. All the vehicles from First Contact were not hot sellers, but then again no playset or vehicle in the lineup ever was, while the ship with the best chance (Enterprise-A) was never even produced. That's a self-inflicted wound by the manufacturer, who claimed to lose money on playsets.

I actually remember I asked them at the time why they didnt make more playsets. They said the retailers didnt like taking up the larger amount of shelf space for fewer items.

Borg Cube, mint in box and batteries working (must have regenerated somehow) went for $50.85 + $12.05 shipping, after 11 bids.

Strong price but a very favorable shipping price. I wonder if this was bought to be opened -- quite expensive for that, I have to say. You can get loose Borg cubes for far less, but this was bought mint for like $60 at the door. Pretty impressive indication of demand for this item. I wouldn't have thunk.

Insurrection Enterprise-E, mint in box, brought $37.00 with free shipping (woo!) after 21 bids, with box number #13431.

Well bought, if you're in the market for one of these. But was this meant to be opened? These seem to be more in demand than the First Contact E.

Borg Cube, unopened, went for $56.00 + $10.00 shipping, after 8 bids.

Strong result, and this is one of the few vehicles (along with Voyager) that can attract a bidding war. But this result is toward the high end at the moment -- if you watch eBay pretty intently you can land one of these mint in box for like $30.

I still don't have one of these and I've only seen it for sale in a store back in the day like once, if at all.

USS Defiant, loose but with box and stand, decals applied, went for.... ::squints:: $79.00 + $10.15 shipping after a single bid.

Oooff, this is a pricey way to get into Defiant ownership these days. These can be found for a little less than that if you watch The eBays for a couple of months.

USS Defiant, loose but with stand, went for $87.20 + $11.75 after 25 bids.

Strong money for a loose Defiant that didn't come with the non-display underside round niche. (You know, that panel that you attach to the bottom when it's not on a display stand).

But anyways, this was pretty much $100 at the door, so all I can say is that with Discovery's debut people are fed up with it and are going back to watch seasons of DS9 because it was the best series evah.

Borg Sphere, new in box went for $36.00 + $12.00 shipping after 7 bids.

$48.00 at the door is a lot of dough for a Borg Sphere these days, (Jebus!), especially if you consider how tepidly these sold when they were new in stores. (Gawd, it's crazy to think that that was 22 years ago!)

These were not hot sellers at the time, and I didn't think that there was this much demand for these now. The E was the only vehicle that seemed to really be in demand when the movie came out, I can still remember trying to round up enough dollar bills to buy the Enterprise-E in 1996, I brought ziploc bags full of coins to Toys R Us, but the Sphere and the Phoenix were duds at retail.

Enterprise-D, new in box, #003722, went for $15.50 + $10.15 shipping after 2 bids.

Well bought. This is a lot of toy for the money, and there seems to be a fair number of these still out there (thank god).

Just think about this: If this thing was new in Target right now, you can bet they wouldn't charge anything less than $50.00 for something like this. Hashtag TheRentIsTooDamnHigh!

DS9 station, mint in box with #025465, went for $66.00 + $10.99 shipping after 2 bids.

Market priced, all things considered, and a little north of where loose ones can trade for. The factor here, I think, is that there's still no good alternative to this model (short of building the AMT kit) and it is a glorious model.

A great investment some 23 years after its release? This is actually about breaking even, adjusted for inflation.

USS Voyager, out of box but comes with box, went for $100.00 + $25.00 shipping after 16 bids.

A little higher than where loose ones can trade, but not too crazy.

Were these just wildly underproduced? I never got that impression, yet demand remains very strong more than 20 years(!) after these came out.

I sold mine a decade ago for around this amount -- the values have not really gone anywhere since.

USS Voyager, MIB, recently went for $135.50 + $17.30 shipping after 26 bids on eBay. Piece number #030720. Box pretty close to "emaculent" as they say on Craigslist.

Solid amount of dough, as usual. These have always been in demand despite solid numbers produced -- they just don't go for less than $100 in box. Market priced.

USS Defiant, went for $82.45 plus shipping straight outta Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, after 18 increasingly desperate bids.

This is about average money at the moment. If you really watch for these you can get them for about $10 less, but not much more. The bidding on these is always cutthroat -- I haven't ever seen these go for "a steal" price. The loose ones can go for a steal sometimes... but that's about it. Defiant is valued a bit less than an MIB Voyager, which continues to be a hot item, despite errythang.

Defiant, MIB, went for $46.98 + $8.50 shipping after 3 bids.

That's, like, adjusted for inflation the original price of the thing. Well bought. Jealous that it wasn't me. One of the best steals I've seen this year(!)

Medical Tricorder, MIB, went for $63.000 + $7.45 after 18 bids.

This is a bunch of dough for something that may or may not get opened and used in time for Halloween. This is a pricey way to get into medical Tricorder ownership. (Is someone just gonna pickle this one for another 20 years?)

Borg Cube, mib, went for $31.00 + $5.00 shipping(!) after 13 bids.

The big story here is probably the $5.00 shipping, because often times I can't get that even on a figure.

Minty Borg Cubes are one of the few vehicles that, inexplicably, still command some coin and some spirited bidding. That's given the fact that the Borg cube is neither large nor particularly well modeled.
