This is the new limited "Sh!tstorm Edition" in commemoration of all the complaints about the earlier release.

Dude...that is absolutely hilarious.

No offence to DST and all, but as bystander who's only bought one modern ship, how many TWOK Enterprise's have they made now? Just curious.

That depends if you count the art asylum versions. I also do not count the battle damage version, which actually showed damage from the self-destruct sequence at the end of The Search for Spock, even though it was labeled as "battle damaged enterprise from TWOK."

I imagine it has something to do with popularity/sales vs the cost of licensing through paramount. Since the release of Star Trek 2009 the cost to license products from the original series/movies has probably gone down. DSTZach could probably elaborate more on the validity of my point. That being said... It does not explain why we still do not have a freaking USS Reliant! ;-)

I was just looking at the ship on Amazon. What the heck is up with the paint scheme on this ship? Zoom in and have a look. What is up with the brown splatter all over the warp engines and lower engineering hull. I don't see anything like that image on other sites.

It looks like the Enterprise was just on an episode of Buckwild!

I'm pretty sure that's just a combo of poor lighting and heavy jpg compression.

Not to mention that is a OOOOLD prototype picture of the TWOK Enterprise before it came out in 2007. In fact, it's a touched up picture of Art Asylum's Enterprise A with the "A" removed via Photoshop or similar program. Note how the windows aren't even painted in.

Besides the Battle-Damaged ones -- Art Asylum did an exclusive TWoK BD variant AND a SFS self-destruct battle-damaged variant -- we have only made one undamaged TWoK Enterprise. But while we've only done one run of the Ent-A, as far as I know, we've done several runs of the TWoK ship, and each one has minor differences, some more noticeable than others.

People often say "Why are you making another So-and-So Enterprise and not the Reliant, what a waste of resources," but we're not making a new TWoK Enterprise. It's THE TWoK Enterprise. We make more because every run we do sells out, and there are always more people looking to pick one up. And every run we do of an already-tooled ship helps pay for the work being done on the new ships, which need to be tooled from the ground up.

We can't control what picture anybody uses on Amazon, but I assume that is a very old picture, possibly dowloaded and re-uploaded multiple times. You can see that the new one is clean from my demo video. There's also a small pic on the Diamond Select Toys page's listing for it.

Hey DSTZach.  We are always telling you what we want out of this line.  Has any one ever asked you what you want out of it as a fan?
