Wow! I really could see that. That would be a great storyline, especially if they wrote some friction between Pike and Decker.Yeah it be awesome! Here's the thing though , I think what made Decker so nutty in the first place was losing his crew to the Doomsday device ,before that he might probably been as sane as any other Strfleet officer , but watching his crew die made him snap , so if they were to do a retread of a TOS story , I think the Doomsday Machine would fit the bill , imagine the Planet Killer on a Hollywood budget!

Ooh and the U.S.S. Constitution's battle with it and seeing the battle damage after wards on the JJ era ship .
That battle alone would be worth the price of admission!!
