hey... neat! When I saw the first shot, I'd admit I thought the Picard base was going to be too tall, but you made it work great! REALLY nicely done!

Man, I miss DS9 something fierce...

It does look nice. I was worried the oversized Picard body would look bad with the undersized Sisko head (I think DST mixed up the measurements for those two) but it turned out nice. I realy like the way the extra paint apps you did make it pop. I have often thought about swapping out Worfs legs and Head to do a Worf custom in this look. He was seen that way a couple of times on the show.

Thanks guys! Yeah! I have to admit DS9 is my fav of the series!

I'm thinking about going back and retouching my S4 Sisko to make the shirt more screen accurate... besides... I think I'm 1 pip short for a S4 Sisko!

I have to admit, thought it was going to be way over-sized too. but I think scale wise, it actually works a bit better for Sisko!

Hmmmm... I thought the vest was only a "Captains" vest... do you remember what episodes Worf wore a vest JMW?

I am interested in knowing which episodes Worf wore the vest as well, as i dont ever remember seeing that, but then again its been a couple of years since i watched DS9. I think Worf would look great in the Vest by the way...

You know, i wouldnt mind having some sort of a guide from a customizer that would give instructions about which arms and legs, torsos, etc. are needed to make custom figures. I mean like a formula like x torso + y legs + z arms = Captain so and so. Also instructions for diassembling the figures the easiest way, paint color matches for the figures so that we could go to the store and buy the right paint the first time. I think i would be willing to pay for a decent guide for customizing so that i could figure out which figures i would need to buy to have the parts to create a particular figure.

I don't remember the specific episodes off the top of my head but will see if I can find them. It may take some time as they are no longer show DS9 on any station around here.

That's a new one on me . Once i get the later seasons ofDS9 I'll keep an eye out for that . To the best of mt knowledge I don't think i recall seeing Worf in the vest . I might be mistaken though.

I don't recall Worf wearing the vest either, but dialogue from "Rocks and Shoals" suggests that everyone had a vest underneath their uniforms as Sisko mentioned Jadzia's vest was still wet from the crash.

Well, most people are happy to give the formula for a custom out so others can duplicate it... I know I always do if anyone asks.

In this case it's pretty simple, I took a 1st contact Picard, stuck the head and hands from a DS9 Sisko on it, used an exaco knife to remove the comm badge, and then a small file to match the vest grooves. Then I touched up the vest with gray paint.

I simply used apple barrel white and black and mixed it till I got "Star Fleet gray"!

Many of my, and other customs have a great bit of detail on how to do them! For me it's part of the fun of doing them!

Most customizers will tell you, there is quite a bit of trial and error to make some parts work... and sometime they don't always work out... and don't forget inspiration! I came up with the idea for using a bike tube, like on my Undiscovered Country Uhura custom, after getting a flat tire on my bicycle!

I am considering buying a vest Picard with the intention of swapping the heads and hands with an original Sisko. I see that Sisko's head and hands look good on the Picard vest body....would the Picard head and hands look ok on a Sisko body?
