Well I just got finished watching the dvd movie....first let me say that if you are offended by nudity or dont want your kids seeing that....dont watch this with them! There are many nude scenes which really surprised me and really caught me off guard. The story is interesting but Im not sure if I want to watch a whole weekly series based on the premise. I see a lot of potential for this show though if they expand beyond this initial movie. If they went into the building of the colonial fleet and maybe even into the first Cylon War I could see it being very good. If they just stick with the current storyline presented in this movie it will be for me just another TV drama. I havent read much on the series itself so Im not sure the direction they want this to go. Overall I think it was a good story that fleshed out some of the backstory of both the Adamas and the Cylons but unless you really love BSG, this doesnt do much to add to the overall mythos.

What's wrong with nudity? Why would any parent not want his children to see nude human bodies? I mean, it not like some sexual acts. Nudity isn't even erotic, it's just seeing the human body the way nature made it.

Apart from that I can not judge the nude scenes since I haven't seen the movie. Are they just naked people under the shower like in a commercial for showergel we see during the daytime (where you can see complete breasts) or were they part of a scene showing people touching and hugging and do the scenes imply them having sex?

its the latter, so I concur with TheHSBR that this is not really suitable for (young) kids.

Also agree with his assesment I really likef the promise of this show in explaining how the cylons came to be and the first cylon war (although considering the age of willy adama, and his actions in Razor it would be some time gap to fill from this series till the end of the war.
I for one will defenatly check out which way they are going with it.

And what about Saul Tigh? Are he and Adama already friends? And if so, does he look younger? (Cylons don't age, as we saw Saul on Cylon Earth and he looked the same way he did in the rest of the series, and they always get reborn as old-looking as before their deaths)

the only character in it so far is will adama unless I missed some passing reference. The nudity comes in a dance club where a bunch of people are having group sex. I enjoyed it....i dont know if a parent would want their 10 year old enjoying it...but then again BSG was never kid friendly anyway.

I wasnt aware that this movie was already made until i saw it in a store the other day. I assume this is the pilot for the series? When will the season of episodes for this begin? Oh, also, that movie "The Plan", is that supposed to be a new BSG movie or is it just a rehash of scenes from prior episodes?

A commercial at the beginning of the film said 2010 for the series. I think the plan is mostly new scenes with maybe some old stuff recycled telling the events from the Cylon perspective.

Now are they starting with the previously released dvd as 1 or two episodes or are they jumping to new stuff and assuming we have watched the dvd?

The way they have it on the on demand is a two part episode. I am pretty sure that is how they will air it too. Of course they cut out all the nudity for on demand. LOL. Still not sure I am on board with it yet.

You know I just saw season 1 episode 2 of Stargate SG1. Some woman is stripped naked...muff & all hanging out.

So now no female nudity will surprise me.

Stargate SG1 was originally a Showtime movie channel series before the SciFi network picked it up, so some of the early episodes had some nudity in it.

I'm watching it, but it might simply be because Dollhouse is off, and nothing else is on. Part of me can't see it making past a couple of seasons.

The girl / cylon / girl, annoys me. I don't know why, but she does. I think it's because she looks and acts like Zooey Deschanel who BTW annoys me as well.

After watching a couple of episodes I cant really get into it. It didn't draw me in like Battlestar. So I probably wont be watching any more.
