They had 2 Trek items.

The Reliant and a Borg Select figure.

But pictures were not allowed of them?

Were you there?

No I wasn't there, it's what Zach said on twitter.

Any no, for whatever stupid reason they weren't approved for pictures.

OK, I finally found the text you were referring to:

"They also had a cool Star Trek Select Borg figure on display and a U.S.S. Reliant ship on hand, though again no images were allowed."

Is what I'm referring too, I never saw the text on the Toy news I article.

Probably, just make sure to sneakily take some pics.

Can't show photos early, or fans might have comments and criticisms...and we wouldn't want to have to deal with those, now, would we???

Who wants to take criticism's and correct them during DST's 3 year development cycle? Crazy talk.

Hmm weird there was no photos. Usually even if they ask for no photography, something pops up?

With the RBoP, the pictures were taken down once DST found out about them.

I'd imagine the companies that did it before weren't going to do it again.

Odd that they did not show off the Bird of Prey this time.  Especially now that they have the lights on it.  Or the phaser.

Why waste space on Trek that's already out.

They barely seem to have space for Trek that's in the works.

I can't even think of a reason that the TNG phaser is taking so long. Wasn't it shown before the BoP? How can a role play item be more complex than a ship?

I'm wondering about the TNG phaser as well.  It was shown (not just a drawing but presumably an early prototype or something) 2 years ago.  Last June it was in the "finalizing electronics" stage of development.  Nothing since?

My guess with the phaser is that interest was weak and development stopped on it?

There was mention on the DST FB page yesterday that they should have a version of the TNG phaser with lights and sounds to check out soon.

Nice that they did have stuff there, but a shame we can't see it. I've said it for literally years now, but when it comes to promoting their products (PR basically), DST is absolutely rubbish at it.

I saw an exchange on the DST Facebook where someone asked them about Star Trek and whomever was answering questions for DST got defensive and was answering pretty much like the Q&A. No real info other than some snarkyness.
