It's funny how people complain about the ~15 buck price tag on the Playmates figures, but nobody talks about these being $20...

Troi's sculpt is... unflattering. I'd say play-with collectors might get some mileage from combining these high-detail accessories with Playmates' comparatively high-detail figures - and the scale of hands-to-props might be better there too. The sculpts here are charmingly simple, and they get the collar right where PM messed those up.
EDIT: Wait, these are 7 inch!? I thought they were closer to the Galoob TNG figures in scale!
EDIT 2: No, they're 3.75 inches. That's more sensible with this level of detail and the size of the packaging. Speaking of the packaging, I really like the art on it, and the back is LCARStastic.

Ok wow, the actual 7" line is a lot nicer!
Look at those accessories and alternate heads! Now that's a $20 figu- [sees actual pre-order price] - oh, ok... that's a $55 figure. I guess that's ok for the size, detail and amount of supporting material.
EDIT:
HahaHAAAAA! Riker comes with a smirking head and a Captain Picard Day plush Picard! BRILLIANT!

I still have no interest in 7" scale figures but, dang, these look pretty sweet! The price is plenty steep to keep me away though.

I have no interest in figures full-stop, but I'm still liking the uptick in toys and licensees.
Now, please, moar electronic props and ships. Someone, please, do that Tricorder phone case from Picard season 2 - it is bloomin' no-brainer. Do a Federation version too for diversification... and for slightly more money, do a version with a light up screen for people who can't afford a bajillion-euro phone to pop into it.

Those are cool, and I am tempted since no-one makes that size however why do they tease with the playsets like that? A Ten-Forward, chair for Data, poker table.... They would be amazing. Hope they sell well enough to get more though.

The figures reportedly haven't been promoted at industry events. That's not official but it's certainly not a great sign. Evidently there's no interest at retail for ANY Trek figures. Guess I better pre-order those Hiya figures ASAP.
