There are always going to be serious collectors like myself and Rick who would and have paid a lot for some of our pieces and then there are the more casual collectors who either are not currently able to or unwilling to.
Luckily most of my alien Megos I picked up many many years ago well before they really started to climb in value, which allows me to put that kind of cash if needed towards other important pieces I may be missing in my collection.

I can't imagine spending a thousand bucks on an action figure....maybe if i had the money to blow, but man oh man I'd get so much crap for it!
hello all...
I hear you...and, as most know, it is relative... I have paid more than $125,000 for a single comic book, so $1000 for an action figure is "relative"... Mego Alter Ego figures regularly sell for more than $1000...a Carded Iron Man (WGSH) sold for more than $10,000 last year....a carded Wonder Woman went for $12,000...so, even $1000 is "light" for a Romulan, if you put it in context and compare to other collectibles...

that said, for some, spending $25 is "high", and I respect that too... there is no right or wrong price, just spend what you feel comfortable, and the rest will take care of itself!

I've been thinking about starting an action figure collection.
