Sounds like you are responsible, pay your bills, do your husband things, so you should be able to have something you enjoy ...

My poor, poor friend Donster's funeral will be held Friday at noon. It will be a closed casket ceremony due to the fact that any, and all, females who read that are going to use his face as a steel wool pad to clean the multiple surfaces they clean in a day, while watching the children, while grocery shopping, while picking up the dry cleaning, while getting the cars serviced, etc, etc ... It is a sad day indeed when a man uses the words 'husband things.' We lose so many good ones that way! laugh.gif wink.gif

WHHAATTTI'DSAY?!?!?! C'mon, seriously?!?!?! Are you going to say all of you have a one way relationship?!?!?! There was nothing I said that would intel a funeral, brutalization or getting canned rolleyes.gif Trust me, my wife probable does more in our relationship, but we still share responsibilities and I'm sure it's the same in Sybeck's marriage wink.gif It's obvious that she knew he collected when they met, got married, etc or am I missing something? If anything, I'm thinking Slayerone76 was assassinated by a silent sniper for his comments laugh.gif Considering he assumes that the women are the only one's that do the following,

If memory serves me correctly, it was my wife that offered solutions to the problem, neither one of us are trying to get the guy into divorce court, just trying to help. Besides, so far, I can still type with my one good hand, let alone it's clumsy cousin tongue.gif So I must be doing something right biggrin.gif Good luck Sybeck, I hope she eventually comes around unsure.gif

^^^Her moods come in some sort of cycle, with it coming this month the same as my toys coming. I could have probably be better prepared if I would have had some chocolate handy lol.

Now then, since I may well be the only person qualified to give out this intel: It is a 'monthlies myth' to assume that women's likes and dislikes is hormonally regulated, and that these vary. They do not! Trust me, pre-Rag-Time does not make a woman any more suseptible to finding the world an annoying place any more than at any other time, it is just that she is generally less patient and far more likely to act upon those irritations! tongue.gif

It may be that Sybeck's woes may be a matter of timing, and, no, chocolate won't make any difference, trust me, I know...

Donster I don't see anything wrong with what you said. Me and my wife both refer to the things I do around the house as my husbandly duties and we have both accepted that there are things that she does that I don't help out with becuase, Well I just wouldn't do them right and vice versa. And we like it that way.

Chocolate and diamonds are said to be a womans best friends, while men go for Dogs and the Tv. Dogs because they dont nag you about the toilet seat being left up and the TV because that all the entertainment you can afford after paying for the chocolate and diamonds.

I confess, that was a little bread crumb I left on the trail for you, our only member with two X chromosomes!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif wink.gif

Anyway on the homefront. I have spoken to the UPS store down the road. Packages can be recieved there for $5 a day! The wife won't know if I use my credit card as I am getting one of the Nem Geordi's from DST's store. Deception? Yes. Wife not knowing and everybody happy---priceless!

There's so many parts of this story. My MIL (the nosey one that found my wife's & mine's marriage aid DVD's rolleyes.gif (P@#n) rolleyes.gif ) baby sits my son during the day(so she would tell), and with my wife is a school teacher so she home a couple of hours before me. This was the only way.....

^^^Oh no! I can sympathise with the 'marital aids' videos! When we were living abroad, my husband went through a stage of buying those videos which are labelled as 'instructional' ~ which is a euphemistic term for 'porn aimed ar couples in order to spice up their relationship'. As you can imagine, the videos were full of trim Scandinavian types who looked like they drank bucket-fulls of Yakult and did yoga ~ so boringly bland, blonde, and........bendy were they, and they were not a great hit with me and my womanly wisdom that laughter is a bigger aphrodisiac than gymnastics (that was before I discovered what a young bald guy in a shiny suit could do! wink.gif ). In the end, we watched them all about once and after that, they remained in the top of hubby's wardrobe..........until the removers came to pack up our belongings to move us back to England! Imagine the embarrassment of finding vidoes I'd forgotten we even had, with titles like "The New Karma Sutra" stacked right on top of a pile of my Star Trek vids for all to see, and having to answer to "Where do you want these madam?" ohmy.gif

I could also tell some funny stories about what Spanish satellite channel, Canal +, puts out after 1AM ~ but I won't in case there are kids about. blink.gif

Anyway, Sybeck, it looks like you've happened upon a perfect solution, and when your wife eventually spots your new figures, you can pull of that age-old wisewoman's trick of saying "What? this old Geordi? Why I've had him for years!":P

I'm too new at my job to start accepting packages there, as I just began there in February.

As an opener, I can discard most of the evidenceand slide the figure and a few accessories in my pocket of the coat. The wife doesn't reconize one figure from another.
