Well..... I am going for a more unified ( Uni-hull construction) Sleeker look....... Keep in mind that the windows on the E Saucer and the lines wont show up once the ship is primed and painted..... I like the overal look so far....
Rough sketch:
Some construction Views:
A little more putty added; a whole lot more sanding and shaping to do...

Right, of all the Defiant-esque redesigns I've seen over the years (redesign/re-imagining/inspired-by), and I'm not blowing smoke etc, this one is the only example I've immediately liked. Two things I love, and can't wait to see finished.
1, the curves from the nose, to the nacelles - it looks gorgeous in those shots above (curve is what I like so much on the studio model Defiant vs the CG model).
2, the Sovereign-esque impulse engines at the back.
Definitely on to a winner here, man.

Well..... I have been working all day on the dorsal half of the ship..... I decided to give her a coat of primer to see where I have to do some more work..... Here is what she looks like in primer...
The bottom still needs A LOT of work but here is what I have so far...
Generally I like the look of the ship better now that I can see it all one color....she will also look a lot better once all the detail goes on.....

Holy krunting flap!
That looks amazing - both the concept and the modelling.
I love the little turtle-tail at the back - any idea what you can say that is?
