No worries, thanks for linking!
Holoship is a definite, and the Romulan Scoutship I absolutely can't wait for. Issue 89 is a lot sooner than I thought it would be for the J, so that's probably got people chuffed.
Great selection, but I'm also hoping that's not the article that was (is?) due to be posted on August 5th - I want more news!

Wow, some really obscure things, and a very diverse batch. Out of the latest batch of announcements it's probably the Romulan scout that I'm most excited for, because TNG and because it was a favorite Micro Machine back in the day. Hah!

Same here (reference micro machines)!

I wonder if we'll get the Discovery? I assume the collection will still be around by then.
Think it would be a special, or normal issue?

Yes definitely. https://twitter.com/jvancitters - this guy hinted at Eaglemoss going to 'warp 150' a while ago now, in answer to Ben jokingly asking him if they're to be allowed to make the new 'ships'.
My guess is that it'll just be a normal issue as well. The reason the JJ stuff is all special issues, is due to the licensing deal (Ben talked about it ages ago, can't remember the specifics, but it explained why they have to be specials, and can't be normal issues).
The thing I'm interested to know, is if it'll be one of the January issues to launch alongside the show, or if Ben will want to hold off on it for a while to make sure they make the final version of it.

Odds are they'll have it finalized well before they show it to fans.
I don't know what turnaround time EM needs to get a ship out, maybe they'd do it like the ISS or do it as a special just to get it out with the tv series.

Guess they had a panel at Comic-Con after all, since you can actually listen to it on FB.

Had to fix the cockpit side windows as soon as I could, but I love it:

Hi-res just in case (posting from tablet):

Crazy. They didn't want to take away from the Insurrection sequence. I'm sure that if they had used the Aeroshuttle in Voyager, it'd now be regarded as a small, but relevant bit of foreshadowing for the film. Also, it'd have made a lot more sense than having the crew build the Delta Flyer from scratch (and it also looks a lot better in my opinion), but alas.

Would've been so cool. In the magazine, one of the effects guys suggests that a possible backstory for introducing it into the show, could've been Paris 'stumbling' across the unfinished Aeroshuttle, and getting that ready to fly (as opposed to completely building a brand new, huge shuttle).
Couple of new ship pictures - the Federation Holoship, and the Gorn ship from TOS remastered:
The Gorn ship seems to be facing the wrong way...lol.

The really rapid construction of the Flyer was strange to me. I like it fine but the aeroshuttle would have made more sense, especially with all the shuttle replacement the Voyager crew was constantly doing.

Possible leak confirming Cheyenne, Excelsior variants, Miranda variants, Planet of the Titans Enterprise concept, Sydney. (I'm imagining the Miranda variants to include Saratoga and Soyuz, while Excelsion variants could be four-nacelled study models from BoBW and Unification).
I'm afraid the aeroshuttle would have posed some weird plot problems, such as:
- why don't they use the aeroshuttle all the time to solve problems?
- why don't they use it all the time instead of shuttles which are easily bamboozled by everything?
- why didn't they use the captain's yacht on TNG when they could have?
Voyager had enough plot holes to ponder over without the shuttle, such as how could they have churned out the Delta Flyer so easily, and why they didn't make two of them.

Just in case anyone's interested, the All Good Things Enterprise-D is now (finally) up for sale on the website:
https://shop.eaglemo...erprise-d-model
Price is £14.99, but there's currently a sale going on, so it's 15% off (as is everything else), so right now it's £12.74.
