Was just looking at the latest preview shots of upcoming models. The Krenim ship is very nifty, but it suddenly struck me as very Babylon 5-looking. Never noticed that before, but then I don't think we ever saw the entire ship in single shot in "Year of Hell".

Trek doesn't really go for Super Massive Spaceship's (or didn't prior to 2009) in the same way as other SF franchises, but I do wonder if this collection will include the likes of the V'Ger machine. Perhaps a Special? We'll almost certainly see the Narada.

Got the Thunderchild, Reliant and the plaque on Thursday. Such beautiful ships this month! The Thunderchild is so cool to have in-hand. I love this design. It really is strong enough it could have been the hero ship of a series. The Reliant, as has been said, is really fantastic and does highlight how blah the refit Enterprise turned out. I can't remember, is a 1701-A on the docket? Maybe we'll get a better one there.

Also, I will join in on the praise for the dedication plaque. The lack of any sort of holes to hang it with is perplexing, but I supposed attaching some sort of mounting hardware on the back shouldn't be impossible if I need to. I love how solid it feels!

Anyone know when we should be getting our next binder? Mine has a few slots left, but I imagine it won't be much longer until it's full!

Hey all,

Just got the next set yesterday. It was the Ferengi Maurauder and the USS Dauntless but also came with a new binder. Really happy about that since my other one is already full.

Take care,
Matty-lad

I'd love to see some pics of the Dauntless.

Swapping the nacelles on the Enterprise D to the future ones to make a custom Venture version wouldn't work Commodor Kor'Tar. The phaser pods on the Venture are rotated 180 degrees when compared to the future Enterprise

I've never noticed that before, nice!

Got my Ferengi Marauder today, and once again, no problems with mine. Looks good going bow to bow with the D. :)

One other thing, here's a preview image of the Nebula class. Pretty confident this is going to be the Honshu, as that was the last CG version used:

Really? I'd assumed it'd be the Farragut, since that's the one Nebula-class everyone remembers by name.

Not keen on the 'weathered' paint job on the Marauder, which is a shame, as I've always loved the ship itself.

The CG-image on their website says Honshu as well. I'm also assuming this based on the fact that the Runabout will be the Orinoco, and not the Rio Grande, which I'm really happy about (sensor pod!). Variety, spice of life, etc. :)

Quite honestly, I'd be happy to buy some models again if they made variations. A Venture, a Crazy Horse, a Lakota, etc.

I'm a touch disappointed with the Nebula class model - it's the ds9/Voyager CGI kitbash, rather than the studio model.

The CGI version was just a chop-and-change of the existing Galaxy class model, and as such, lacked the Nebula's unique deflector design.

That said, this is what the USS Bronchune etc looked like on-screen, so they'll probably note the variants in the magazine.

More info.

The thing is with stuff like that, I'm more pissed off at the the CG guys from the show - I can't blame Eaglemoss for this in that sense, as they're just using the official CG models. I'd bet a tenner that the same company responsible for the Defiant season 5 CG model, are the same people who did this with the Nebula class. Add this to the list of things that I hadn't noticed. Hand on heart, I think they both look nice (I love the Galaxy's deflector shape), but too right I'd much rather have the original Nebula deflector. :/

Oh yeah, I don't really blame EM.

They'd have to go to a lot of trouble to accurise it (though they did with the D), and, afaik, there was never an accurate CG Nebula class used in a licenced production. And yes, I'll also be perfectly happy with the CG version as my Eaglemoss model.

Funnily enough, the WhizzKids model that came with my Star Trek Fleet Captains game, although chunky, wonky, unpainted, and low-detail, has the correct secondary hull shape.

Got mine on Thursday, too. Definitely a very short time between the last shipment and this one.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Jem'Hadar ship. It never made a huge impression on me on the show, but it looks great. It's HUGE, as well. Almost too big, in some ways. But, it looks great.

The Galor is nice. Again, it felt a bit small compared to the other ship, but I thought it was a good representation, overall.

Yeah, my last two or three deliveries have been prompt - perhaps they've kicked some arses in the dispatch department.

Which of these ships are close in scale from the DST Ships?

Also, Are these ships lead based like the other Eaglemoss stuff?

The Defiant is in-scale with the DST D and E, if you think of it as being 170m in length. Likewise, it's in-scale with the B (and Excelsior) if you think of it being 120m.

I believe I'm right in saying that the Equinox is also very close to being in-scale with the D and E, if it's considered to be 165m (the magazine said it was 220m which if true, renders it too small).

Obviously, the Klingon Bird of Prey is also in-scale with the D and E, although the length of that ship is anyone's guess! It looks 'right' next to the Defiant, so that's good enough for me.

These three are the closest in terms of scale, but they're not exact. Placed next to the big ones on a shelf though, and they do the job very convincingly. :)

Of the ships still yet to come out, I'd be willing to speculate (from those that I know well enough) that the Jem'hadar Fighter (Bug) will fit in well with the D and E (and Defiant, obviously), the Hideki class will be close to the B/Excelsior (150m) and good enough for me next to the Defiant, D and E, and possibly, the Oberth class will be close to those latter three as well.
One possibility I am excited about, and could work out well, is that the Runabout they make (Orinoco), might be close to the DST Bird of Prey.

EDIT: Got the Dauntless yesterday, and it's a stunner (forgot to mention). :)

Shipment number two arrived today. 1701 refit and the Klingon Bird of Prey. My 1701 was broken though. The warp nacel was loose floating around in the package. It looks like it can be glued though. The BoP looks great. I'm very happy with it.

Awesome! I got shipment three yesterday. NX01 and Romulan ship. They look great! My only complaint is that the Romulan ship has a hard time staying on the stand. Doesn't snap in as securely as the others I've gotten so far.
