I don't mind her, she's a cutie. I just hope they don't put too much make-up on her as they did with Kelly Kelly.

By far Kelly Kelly is the worst figure ever made. She looks absolutely nothing like her picture on the box nor her visage on TV. The real scan must have had a glitch that day because I see no resemblence whatsoever!

The Real Scan technology is an interesting thing.

Most of the 'bad' scans seem to be faces the performers pull that we rarely see, so it doesn't seem to resemble them at all (RA22 Torrie & Matt Striker).

However sometimes, the scanning technology seems to have some actual kinks. If you take a look at any RA Trish Stratus or the new Victoria figure (RA28) you will notice that these women have Barbie doll smiles....no teeth! However, for most other figures the teeth scanned fine.

But how can that even happen with such technology??

As for Kelly, the proto was amazing. However for the final figure they decided NOT to giver her eyeliner (mistake) & they added a tonne of blush (mistake). Not to mention choosing some boring arse outfit! My Kelly will be here on Monday, so I can't say any more than that. Do you find it is just the paint? or you feel the bone structure is off as well?

I dont know what it is. I didnt like the new Torrie wilson scan either but I bought the new one yesterday. When I moved the hair back from the face the face itself looked ok, not spectacular but ok. I think the keely figure has a bunce of problems. First the smile she has does has teeth and i think it detracts from the look. the painting of the makeup isnt as good as it should be either. if i was to paint her face all one color i think the likeness is there. Its the makeup that jakks masacred and leads to this being a bad figure. With all the new 'model" divas coming up, i think jakks will soon have to hire a minature makeup artist to get these divas looking right!

I also picked up the new classic series including zeus, bass, the genius, luger, razor, blanchard and abott. blanchards head is huge probably the biggest jakks head ive ever seen! the rest of the set is ok. Razors likeness is poor in my opinion. it amost looks as if they used the old R3 head when he was in WWE but i cant be sure.

In addition to that i picked up some ofthe new RA figs including vince, miz, mysterio and as previously stated torrie. Mysterio has an all new chest sculpt which is pretty good for him. They also created new armpads! Ive been so sick of the old ones and its about time they did !

I like that new Mysterio torso. It's good to see the little fellow without a 6-pack.

Though the only new mold I've really wanted for years is a proper cruiserweight....a London/Kendrick/Jimmy type hybrid. One where they are not as tall as Undertaker & their arms & chest aren't 3 times bigger than they should be!

I think it's the plastic to price issues. People complain about paying the same amount for less plastic....yet I'm sure they would be pissed if JAKKS charged more for figures of Khali or Big Show!!

R3 was an awesome era for the little guys...The Hardy's & the unreleased Hurricane looked really good with their more natural bodies. The era also saw the only good Chris Benoit figures ever made.

Cruisers, along with the Divas, are the main reason I watch pro wrestling. Now that the Divas have two proper molds, it would be nice to see the cruisers with atleast ONE!! biggrin.gif

My one complaint with R3 was the legs didnt look right on most figures. For some reason they always looked out of proportion to me and too skinny.

They were very skinny looking the legs.

The novelty of more realistic bodies kinda wore off once the re-use set in. Though I still thought they looked quite good (torso wise)...much better than the ripped RA torso's which look rather anime.

They were not soo good for play...from memory they were kinda stiff.

I've just received word my Aussie WWE dealer has sent off my latest order including:

*Hooligans Adrenaline set - red attire
*Candice Michelle - RA26
*Sherri Martel - CS14
*Ariel - ECW2
*Kelly - ECW2
*Paulie - Rocky I
*Adrian - Rocky IV

He is also trying to source my a Torrie with Chloe variant....but is having troubles.

I wanted to order more from ECW2 & RA28...but didn't have the money. I will order CM Punk, Joey Styles, Vince, Miz & Rey when I get the chance.

WSS.com has shown a small image of the WM womens championship 2-pack, which they seem to have changed to a regular 2-pack as they are not wearing their WM attires:

Ashley looks pretty cool.

Just posted over at Wrestlingfigs.com:

We finally tracked down an answer and Jakks Pacific has informed WrestlingFigs.com that Classic Superstars 3-Packs Series 8 will be hitting stores in a few weeks. Classic Superstars 3-Packs Series 9 will be hitting stores around May/June.

Series 8 contains Jake The Snake Roberts, The British Bulldog, and Koko B Ware and Ric Flair, Bobby The Brain Heenan, and Mr. Perfect.

Series 9 contains The Rock, Rocky Johnson, and Peter Maivia and Rhythm and Blues with Jimmy Hart, The Honky Tonk Man, and Greg The Hammer Valentine.

Im really excited about the flair/heenan/perfect pack because that is my all time favorite storyline. I was about 10 in 1992 and just idolized flair in the wwf. The whole storyline with flair and macho man was classic! I really cant wait to see protos to see how they look! Heres hoping for a new flair robe!

The Toyfair offerings from Jakks was the most disappointing I can ever remember. Very little new product shown at all in the main lines. A few classic superstars look really nice like Honky Tonk Man and Adam Bomb. The Jericho DA looks nice. Outside of that everything else showcased their new lines. A Mighty Muggs style line is being released (seriously what is the deal with these?). THey also focused on their new Maximum aggression lines which is an upscaled DA set and their down sized line of Bashin Brawlers and Micro Aggression. I looked through all 6 pages and was nonplussed overall.

I saw a few things I liked.

Sunny is spectacular IMO...love the outfit & the face is pretty close. I gather Mae will have her red jacket for the final figure, atleast I hope, & she'll look better. I like her face in any case. Candice is confusing...that outfit could have used the sculpted corsett, & they used the Kelly torso...Candice is much more heavily endowed than that.

Not really into non regular lines, but I'll buy that Melina vinyl statue thing & maybe Triple H as well to keep her company.

Love the new JR. I already have 3 of his figures but I don't mind another! biggrin.gif

Good to see some new molds for Kaufman. Rikishi looks....kinda aweful, he was a big guy, but not that big!

Some awesome playsets shown.

That Rikishi was pretty bad. I was also shocked by the choice for Sunnys costume. The LOD 2000 thing lasted for less than a year so I wasnt expecting to see that costume. I probably was her most flattering/interesting though so maybe thats why they choose it. In comparison to other years this was a very slight offering. We saw the new classics but saw very few new figures from the main RA line. If memory serves no new wrestlers and very few new scuplts the the established people. Its almsot as if they are trying to focus on the main characters to capitalize money because they are gone in 2 years. Its funny that they now have 3 separate lines that all utilize the same sculpt just scaled 3 diffrent ways. |I think this may be a clear sign of whats to come with jakks milking wwe for all themoney they can. Jeremy on his site claims that this will be the best year ever for jakks/wwe, but if toyfair is any indication Im beginning to doubt it.

Just a thought I had after looking at the SDCC Greyskull He-Man fig was that it looks very encouraging for when Mattel picks up the line. The scuplt on Greyskull could be put right into any number of wrestlers. The articulation looks like it might even be better than Jakks. Most importantly Im looking for Mattel to give us more unique scuplts than Jakks did. Im not expecting a unique scuplt for each wrestlers but a wider variety for the entire line. Thats really something we havent seen since the old LJN line!

Thats something I could only dream of! I hate how many of the wrestler figures look, especially the cruiserweights. Just...so....innaccurate!!

So I will pray to whatever Gods will listen that WWE get the same kinda treatment as the new MOTU line. This could be quality never seen before in wrestling figures, though Toy Biz certainly tried.

I received Mae & Sunny the other day. Mae is cool, but she is missing her jacket, crown & her tatoo's! There are problems with Sunny. Take a long hard look at the figure if there is a few on shelves, some have the lips painted too thin which makes her teeth look HUGE & horselike....not pretty.

Neither of my Sunny's had a great paint job, but the one on the right is not too bad & thats the one I display.

Some new proto's including a Triple H/Steph 2-pack have been shown over at Wrestlingfigures:

http://wfigs.proboar...mp;thread=74069

I'm getting more excited about the Mattel take over...I think this is going to be a good thing for the WWE line.

And I will be happy to see TNA finally getting more stars released in figure form...not that I'm particularly happy it's Jakks!

Beth Phoenix Vs Maria has been shown as well:

That is by far the WORST Stephanie McMahon figure ever created. Steff was never that skinny and its a travesty that they chose to use that mold. On top of that its going to be a rinside collectibles exclusive meaning we are going to have to pay through the nose and be forced to buy a less than spectacular Triple H. Im almost to the point where I dont want Jakks to make any more Divas because they are really screwing them up. Outside of maybe Melina and Candace I cant really find a diva that I could look at and say, wow thats really good. This new bunch doesnt make me any more excited either!

Jakks have shown a couple of new images:

Firstly, & most awesomely...Hornswoggle!

His hat is removeable

Hawkins & Ryder - The Edgeheads

Will include fabric bini's

An MOC image of Beth vs Maria - Maria isn't looking too good...but thats to be expected.

Not to mention her hair is looking very brown....for a red head. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
