Does this feature go for the male figures too?

You know all things being equal, is King Leonidas or Iron Man/Tony Stark packing?

Actually... yes, Hot Toys did male version of Rocky and has a new body in that style for Bruce lee coming.

The thing is they are using rubber... so I wonder how these will stand up over time as rubber tends to breakdown and do funky things.

Its one thing to have a dozen or so $10 toys go bad on you... but at $150 ea... if these starting going bad you'll really be bummed.

Edit: I was just referring to a covered articulated body... not making ref to any "parts"

Leonidas' body is squishy like Widow's boobs. I do wonder how the material is going to go over time.

They don't make males with squishy lower regions. The main market for most of these kind of toys is straight men....obviously. laugh.gif

Its definitely possible that Star Trek will get some kind of 12 inch replica action figure line. Whether it's Hot Toys or not, who knows but Sideshow do work very closely with them and may still hold a license to Star Trek... No one will ever do anyone other than the TOS crew and perhaps Picard and Data...

I'm happy with my Qmx stuff though and if anyone has $10,000 dollars for me to purchase both the Refit and 2009 Enterprise, coming in at $5,000 each, i'd be very happy! biggrin.gif STUNNING replicas.

They did Bruce Lee the same way... and I kind of have the same question as to how they will last.

Also, the head and neck of many of the newer Hot Toys are done with a similar softer material, and they give a warning that you shouldn't rotate the head in certain ways or there will be paint rub.

I have to say, its giving me pause on some Hot toys items, as its one thing to watch a few $15 toys go bad, but at an average price of $150, if a few go bad it would be rather devastating sad.gif

Anyhow I'd still love to see Hot toys take a stab at a Kirk/Spock set!

Hot Toys has actually had some problems with the rubber they use in the past. Rockys have been known not to hold up, and the newest one is the Comedian, which is apparently having some warping on the rubber tunic. But I don't think this would affect Trek though? What use of rubber or "muscular" bodies would be needed? Maybe on Worf?
