Jery Ryan was not that tall....& Kes did wear some catsuits with heels towards the end, so perhaps we may have a chance at Kes.

I was watching Voyager yesterday and was thinking the same thing. Not that I care to get a Kess figure but it would be nice for all that do want one.

Well, I was looking and there is a 5 inch difference between 7 and Kes, so I don't think it would be ideal, but it would work if thats the only way to get her.

The thing is... if they are basically the same, two new thigh parts are all that are really needed to get her the extra hight. At the basic 1/12th scale that these are (I know a bit bigger) 1ft = 1in, so between 1/3 and 1/4 of an inch is all were talking about.

If DST can think it is OK to use Data's body for Sisko then I cant see them having any problems with using the same body for Seven and Kes.

Did they ever actually show the Delaney Twins on screen?

I thought they were actually in at least one episode..? Somewhere past season 5 maybe? We're working our way though Voyager, and it seems like they popped up once. Perhaps it was another set of twins?

Edit: Oh yeah, had I actually looked a the link that thehsbr posted before I said anything, I'd have seen where they were! From one of the Capt. Proton (is that right?) scenarios.

There was one scene, before Tom & B'Elanna hooked up, where Harry & Tom were on a date with them or something if I remember correctly. Harry went for the wrong Delaney sister.

Here's my latest scheming on how they could theoretically release Voyager figures, as well as the earlier season DS9 figures, with using as little new expense as possible. According to IMDB, the heights come out like this:

Worf - 6' 4"
Riker - 6' 3"
-
Sisko - 6' 1"
Julian - 6'
Chakotay - 6'
Paris - 6' 1"
Tuvok - 6'
-
Picard - 5' 10"
Data - 5' 11"
Kim - 5' 11"
O'Brien - 5' 11"
EMH - 5' 10"
-
LaForge - 5' 7"
-
Janeway - 5' 5"
Torres - 5' 5"
-
Jadzia - 6'
7 - 5' 8"

And, we know they've already made Sisko, Jadzia and Worf bodies for the colored-shoulder versions, this leaves 2-3 bodies to make. One for short women, one for short guys (if they want to make the Generations versions), and one for the quasi-tall. To cut down on packaging expense for most of the crews, they could release these waves of 2-packs:

Generations (Not required, but it'd be nice)
Picard / LaForge
Data / Riker

DS9
Sisko / Jadzia
Bashir / O'Brien

Voyager
Chakotay / Paris
Tuvok / Kim
EMH / Torres

And put more money towards the unique bodied figures with individually carded waves like this:
VOY Wave 1:
Neelix
Seven
Janeway
ECH (Chase)

VOY Wave 2:
Kes
Janeway (different hair)
Hirogen
7 (Starfleet - Chase [Jadzia body])

DS9 Wave 3:
Quark
Jake/Nog
Sisko (Emissary)
Q (Chase)

DS9 Wave 4:
Dukat
Kira (Bajoran uniform)
Bashir (Emissary)
Jadzia (Emissary)

Though I'm not sure if a new body would need to be made for Emissary Bashir? Just my brainstorm for the night.

This is actually one of my favorite discussions ninja.gif I love your breakdowns. The only thing is that Im not quite sure if they made a new body for Sisko. The FC style Sisko just reused the Data body type. Im going to assume that because DST sticks with their first size height even though it may be incorrect (ala 1st season Picard) that the S3 sisko will use the Data body which means whether we like it or not all of these will probably be the same size :
Sisko - 6' 1"
Julian - 6'
Chakotay - 6'
Paris - 6' 1"
Tuvok - 6'
-
Picard - 5' 10"
Data - 5' 11"
Kim - 5' 11"
O'Brien - 5' 11"
EMH - 5' 10"

Also being that the new Bashir is also the FC Data body would only futher this assumption. BUT if we get |Voyager figures |I will officially go on record and say I DONT CARE BECAUSE ID BE SO HAPPY ABOUT GETTING VOYAGER FIGURES! music-smiley-026.gif

I also think an Emissary Bashir could be made using a standard Data S7 uniform.

To be totally honest, I'm not sure I'd have ever noticed figures being reused had it not been for the Trek forums and maybe a friend who might have mentioned it once. So I'm all for reuse as long as it looks fine (Sisko doesn't look fine wink.gif ). The little proposal here seems perfectly fine!

New head on a old body. Don't think that's going to work on the 7 of 9.

Well, the 7 (Starfleet) would be the one to reuse a body, though technically it'd be a new body since the colored-shoulder body hasn't been released yet. It's based on her appearance in Relativity.

I feel the same way, heck, I wouldn't even mind if they switched to the baggies instead of them having to put expense in the large carded packaging. I just want more. biggrin.gif

The 7 of 9 could also come in a brown and a silver version
