Ships: I know will be a few repaints. Thats fine with me. I do hope a couple of new ones are coming. Voyager, Defiant, and Reliant are my tops.

Tek I am hoping to see a ST3 phaser or ST5 assault phaser more than anything. I would also like to see a com badge set from the TNG DS9 Voyager era.

Selects. Well its early so it will just be cool to see who they are doing next.

*crossing fingers for Lt. Broccoli with Holodeck arch diorama base*

That would be an awesome idea, having an arch base with whichever figure we get. Reversible walls of cardboard, and or doors hmmm

Well, this one was unexpected, but expected at the same time...

It looks pretty good, Ill probably still grab one. Hopefully the weathering is as good as the prototype on the final release! Is it going to have some variant sounds?

Man, that photo totally obscures the one part of a "battle ravaged" E-B that I'd want to see...the hunk missing in the front where Kirk was sucked out.

I doubt that it is actually going to have a hunk missing. Most likely a black paint app to simulate a hunk missing. I cant see them changing the mold for that. Still I am looking forward to seeing more of it.

Yeah no, gotta be paint apps.  But that's kind of the money shot.  Haha  I noticed you can see a little bit of it in the top pic.

Too bad there's no little Kirk painted on, floating around in the middle of the black void...or is there?

Please include canister of pink silly string so we may create a Nexus.

That diorama of Dix/Borg is awesome.

Quotes from DST on the thread...

"Sorry, the Star Trek site cropped out the damage. It is painted on, with new overall weathering and sounds."

"A decal to put on your existing B? Would it be removable? Usually, If you put on a decal, you would make your regular B permanently battle-damaged. So we just made that ship instead. Buying both is optional, of course, but this one has different sounds, as well."

Different sounds!? Intriguing!

Which thread is that, Kor'Tar?

EDIT:

Lol, I just realised this is a re-painted version of the old rejected paint prototype that got accidentally used for the early promotional material!

"Quick! Photoshop some damage onto it!"

I really wish there were more pictures, especially from the bottom showing the real area of damage.

There WAS a photo from below, but StarTrek.com accidentally cropped out the damaged area. This is from our Webstore, and no, it's not Photoshopped, it's a painted prototype:

001_big.jpg

And I don't believe any rejected prototype was accidentally used for anything on the original release. A prototype picture was used for early promotions, because that's what we had. Production samples came much later; it's not as if a final, color-corrected sample was available from Day One. Not sure if this is a modified paint master or modified production piece, but possibly the former.

Seeing as the little red squares on top of the saucer are all in the same position it is probably a modified paint master.
