Great GUGGA MUGGA! I'm on there now! I was browsing page two of the mobile version. Didn't see the new posts. How did you nab them so quick? - do you have text alerts or something?

EDIT: No wait, I had woken my laptop after snoozing it about 10 hours ago. I was looking at an old front page.

EDIT:
SHAZAM!

Oh baby... that last picture... I can't be the only one who needs a change of pants after seeing it...

I'm wondering where the button is...

12x19 inches.

The button looks to be between the two wing "shoulders" just before the neck?

I hope the wings are on a ratchet and arent just on a pin since you'd want the wings to stay in position.

It looks really cool though, really impressed by DST's commitment to the ships line.

that looks pretty sweet! I am concerned about the size though. As some may want a huge ship, I dont really want it dwarfing my Ent-D, it already seems like it might dwarf the 1701. I also dont want it scaled perfectly to those ships either BTW.

The BOP that will come with that magazine I started a thread for looks to have poseable wings - and at 14cm, it should be about in scale with the 1701.

I actually really like the scale of the hotwheels BoP I think that one fits nicely with the other ships.

I kinda think the BoP may be too big? But scale seems to have elluded many a Star Trek story but I'd have liked a ship that was perhaps around 17 inches wide from wing to wing.

But, not complaining this ship looks amazing.

The ideal size of the K-BoP is very, very up for debate. http://www.ex-astris...es/bop-size.htm biggrin.gif

Personally, I say that when it comes to a model of it, then the bigger the better. The Hot Wheels K-BoP was great, but the wings clicked into the wrong mid-level position so that was a MAJOR downside to it. This model puts the wings at the right level, and that just make it awesome. The fact that it's large and electronic just makes it soooo much better. I'm eagerly awaiting its release!

WARNING!

THE FOLLOWING IMAGES WILL NECESSITATE A CHANGE OF PANTS

MAKE PREPARATIONS BEFORE GAZING LONGINGLY UPON THEM!

And a close-up on the disruptor cannon:

[EDITED TO FIX IMAGE LINKS]

Look at the detail on the gun, and the paint detail on the leading edge of the wing!

=EDIT=

A first look at the underside, courtesy of Facebook:

The wing detail is just the right colour - not too gaudy!

Look at how flush those retractable landing legs sit!

I really don't think we are getting retractable landing gear. I saw it stated somewhere that there will be two covers, one up, one down.

New blog post on the Art Asylum site, detailing the B and the BOP.

This would seem to confirm that, contrary to the Facebook page's recent assertions, the first release will be based on Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. They call Chang an Admiral, though, so who knows how accurate this really is?!

Still, I'm thrilled!

StarTrek.com - once a mainstay of the community, now forgotten and overlooked, but resurgent once again, posted an article on August 29th about the new toys coming from DST

At first glance, there's nothing special about it - until you right-click those same-old publicity pictures we've been seeing for ages, and realise that ST.com has them in SUPER-SIZE-ME mode!

Check out the detail on the BOP!

That sculpt is just obscenely beautiful! Is that an LED tucked in under the shoulder? Formation lighting? I don't remember there being lights there. I remember there being a light where the button appears to be, actually.
