I am still collecting the Playmates line myself.

I have quite a few figures left to go, but I am getting there.

I was lucky enough to find a few people on these forums & Playtrek who wanted to sell off a lot of their Playmates collection.

I don't think anything could come to close to the feeling back in the day when the Playmates line was in it's early stages....but it's still a very warm & fuzzy feeling to finally own something you've been aiming at buying for the last 10 years! biggrin.gif

Which don't you have?

From the old Trek Toy website

This is the Playmates " Mail away Sisko". This figure earned it's name from the fact that you had to purchase a Deep Space Nine : Crossroads in Time video game and from that, you could mail in a offer to get him. Only 4000 of these were made and did not come with any accessories. It was shipped in a plain plastic bag,

Could you tell me where I could get a cheap crossroads in time figure?

From the pic up above it looked like the FC/Nem version to me (for some reason it looked grey). I got that version of Bev from an aussie. The generations version I dont have. Sorry!

no problem I have a few years in at looking every little difference in the packaging. smile.gif

To answer the question of the topic,

No now is the best time ever. You can buy huge collections for chump change on the dollar for what someone like, me paid for each figure, from a department store, plus sales tax.

if you want to collect something cool that was made by Art Asylum but sold under the Playmates banner, then these can be picked up at a very fair price

or what might be the coolest Borg ever

These are not really in scale with anything else in the Trek lines. Right around 9" or so.
