Has anyone attempted some customs from Star Trek Into Darkness? I had an idea that involves doing some in the 90s Playmates style. Would the 2009 6" figures' heads be able to be transplanted onto Playmates bodies, or are they too large?

I think you'd probably have to use some hydrospan to shrink them, which means you'd have to cast them and shrink them...

I think it would be close.  Playmates had a bit oversized heads in general and the 2009 line had a bit undersized.  the only way to know for sure is to actually do it but I think theres a possible chance it might look ok.

The heads do work with some of the bodies. I've made a Gary Mitchell custom using 6" McCoy's head. It looked too large on a Pike body, but well enough on a WNMHGB Scotty body.

Here are some Klingon Prison Guards, a "John Harrison" style Khan, and Keenser, all in the Playmates 4.5" scale.
