Do any of you collect Star Trek card sets? I was looking on eBay and may start to collect the DS9 sets.

There are a couple of comic shops that I go to that still sell these in unopened packets. I've picked up a pack of the DS9 and ENT ones on rare occasion but don't actively collect them.

Very impressive collection. Do you happen to know if all the DS9 sets were actually sold boxed? Or do some of them have to be collected via packs?

Thanks and Actually except for the first set about the premiere episodes all sets needed to be collected through buying boosters. Of course nowadays these can be bought quite easily as master sets on ebay. (especially the earlier sets without autographs are not that expensive)

I collect them as well, i usually buy a box if i can, put together my base set and get a few autos and then piece together the rest on ebay. It is expensive though

Would you rather buy packs to build the base set purely for the enjoyment factor, instead of buying the base set in a plastic case and toop from a seller?

Although I enjoy opening packs, for me its just not economical (as the shippign makes it way to expensive) so I ussually end up buyong a master set ()includign a closed booster box) as well as sometimes add a box to open up (just for the fun of it)

Of course by opening boosters you do also get the chance to get that ultra rare card (rarest I pulled was a Jonathan Frakes auto from TNG complete series 2)

Star Trek DSN Premier Season (complete) with Binder, Error Sheet 871 of 1000) & Sealed Box
Star Trek DS9 Profiles (Complete) with Sell Sheet & Sealed Box
Star Trek DS9 Memories From the Future (nearly complete missing 3 redemption cards) with Binder
THe Complete Star Trek DS9 (complete) with Binder, Sell Sheet & Sealed Box
The Quotable Deep Space Nine (Complete) with Binder, Sell Sheet, Rewards Card, Unreleased Promo Seal

Is the above text only put together by packs? Im assuming so because they all have "binder."

Yes, they originally all came in Packs, but looking at ebay you should be able to get them as master sets as well for decent prices.

Problem with buying boxes at this time is that the rare inserts (non autographs) sometimes occur only one in a box (or less) but don't have a lot of value any more so are cheaper on ebay to buy as a set instead of closed boosters.
