I got my Data last week and his number is 177. I haven't tried switching anything yet though.

for the love of whatever Gods you believe in.....DON'T!! laugh.gif

Ofcourse I may be in the minority with broken Data arms. This is actually the first DST figure I have ever bought that broke. That includes Buffy & Angel as well.

While he is still soft from the hot water, get a small flat head screwdriver, slide it along the side af the ball. Once you get to the back of the ball, just pop it out. Don't worry about bending the plastic too much. Plastic has a memory and when it cools it will go back to it's original shape.

I'll give it a try tonight. Thanks Connor.

Artistix,
the boil and pop method is the only method, that works when it comes to savley change arms on the FC Data.
To remove the boken ball from the arm, "boil" that arm! wink.gif and then leverage the ball out using a knife or nail file.

I use the boil and pop method all the time. Its much saver doing so, when changing heads, hands etc etc...

Boil and Pop does indeed work best. I used it to fix the flaws in my season 7 Data. Switched left hands with Lore and took the legs of an extra Sisko and replaced Data's warped legs. I was actually able to pop off First Contact Data's head and put on normal head w/o boil and pop. haven't tried the arm because I don't want the exposed arm on him.

Big thanks to everyone for their help with Data. I boiled him this morning & after a few curses & blasphemes, the little ball popped straight out of the shoulder socket.

I put the Borg arm in & also attached the borgified head....I like it soo much I am going to have to buy another Data anyway to display in regular outfit.

Hmmmm I posted a comic shop site that had one for sale on the "Where can I get it thread". It's an opener, but you'd have one...

It was awhile ago, so it may be gone, but it's worth checking!

I don't have the Data but I do have the Nemesis Geordi mint on card if you are interested. I'd just charge you shipping plus cost.
