Hi folks, it's been ages since I've done any new figure customs (although I have two Nemesis Picards that arrived last week that I'm going to be starting on later this week for someone) and I was asked to show this 12" custom on this forum. (its been on the AA forum... but someone asked me to post it here... to christen my arrival here, so to speak) lol

Anyway... easier than posting seperate pics which would take me all day... here's a link to the page I put them all up on. As you scroll down it essentially tells the story of what I did through pictures.

The hair now is slightly darker than what is seen there (I did another paint of the hair) so when the hair looks too light? it probably is in those pics

Also I've messed with the pose and the clothing a bit since then too... but on the last pics, you can see the difference that was made to the face.... with similar improvements made to the outfit along the way.

Any questions on what i did... just ask away smile.gif It's what im here for

Darren

Thanks guys! I'm just waiting for some resin and silicone to arrive so I can cast this thing (for my Mustafar Vader/ObiWan battle version), might have a few spare to sell on depending on how they turn out.

It's funny Bernsy that you should comment in here, I remember in the old forum talking to you about 7" plastic figures vs. 12" clothed ones.

I was arguing that sculpted plastic ones always look better and the larger clothed ones always look like the clothes are too big and fabric too thick, and not in scale.

Then Sideshow brought out the Star Wars line, and I got the Luke figure, and was blown away by it. Then came this Anakin... and soon ObiWan is arriving (to be repainted), then Qui Gonn (to be resculpted and painted, much in the same way as anakin was), then Maul... then.... then......

oh yeah... and THEN.. the in-scale version of Jabba... man that thing is huge, god knows where i'll put it

anyway.... after having seen these figures be very good straight out of the box, and with some fiddling be EXCELLENT... i am now ready to concede that 12" clothed figures can... (can!!) ... look absolutely fabulous.

I couldnt be happier with this Anakin figure now, as I sit here at my desk I find myself constantly looking up at it, it's like I have a genuine mini-Hayden on the shelf, lol

anyway... thanks for lookin everyone smile.gif

right.... now onto those Picard rescult commissions......
