I have four of the Hallmark ships currently hanging off a black wire stand, but they look almost ... "cheap" next to the Art Asylum or Johnny Lightning stands. I'm curious -- how do you guys display your Star Trek ornaments, aside from the Christmas tree? Do you drill holes, do you hang them from somewhere?

I've got my DS9 set up on it's base in my comic closet, and aside from that, they just get put on the tree come Christmas. If I had a ton more room I'd figure out something else to do with them, but I'm not quite there yet.

Once I had an ambitious dream, to create a giant shadow-box with glass window, string Christmas lights all throughout it poking through a black backdrop to look like stars, and hang the ships in it with all the other ornaments, too, and have it lit up and on the wall year round.
Then I woke up... So, right now they just hang on the tree every December. But it's a Trek-exclusive tree.
I think the ornament instructions all warn that they are only meant to be used for a short time every year, so even if I did live out the dream I would have to shut it off most of the time.

Once a year we pull out a the big box of Christmas Ornaments and place all of the ships around the tree along with all of our other Christmas ornaments. It looks pretty cool. Then when Christmas is over back in the boxes they go for another year.

I have mine on acrylic stands, but I turn the stands upside down and place the ships on top, and they display next to my Furuta collection
