That would be cool too!!! I can't think of any other variant for people to buy more of it (besides nostalgia alone) other than a book cover variant in the 90's that was a green colored rendition of the Romulan BoP. I could be wrong of course.

Well, they're making a "designed but never seen onscreen" variant of the ST3 phaser, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a green TOS RBOP.

The RBoP and NX-01 were completed for Toy Fair, but RBoP is not 100% approved by CBS. We'll show it eventually. Glad there are those who want to see more pics, adn are not simply dismissing it out of hand like others.

I was not fully on board with the RBoP until I saw our protoype. It's pretty nice. I had a model kit when I was a kid, but it was not like this.

I love you for being so candid on the RBoP. It bodes well that your position on it has evolved - perhaps the more negative among us will follow a similar path.

As for the CBS approval pending being the reason for the no-photo rule - I hadn't even thought of that! Now it makes sense! Thanks for clearing that up.

I understand it can take a while to hear back from a company on a paperwork issue like this - from what I can see of the ship, they should have no objections, but close-up images will really help us form positive opinions.

Personally, I am not annoyed or disappointed that it is the BoP, I'm just perplexed by the choice of that ship, and somewhat disheartened that it wasn't one of the ones I was hoping for - but you and others have clarified and speculated on reasons that help me contextualise it.

That stand is weird, what is it supposed to be? Not a fan of them going back to the 1 armed stands.

She looks good otherwise, I look forward to seeing more of her. I'm curious as to where the button is for the lights and sounds.

Edit: Does that sign list a price of $79.99?

I think so. I'm not sure what the average RRP of the ships is over in the US, but I don't recall seeing a price as high as that before.

The only ship I've seen that high is the AGT D at $80-$90, but it is a very complex ship so it is kind of understandable.

The A, and the NX-2000 both go for $50-$60 which is more reasonable. I'm very surprised that something as simple as the RBoP is going to go for $80.

The RBoP is looking good, but I hope that the RRP is just an estimate. Buying these ships in the UK is becoming difficult due to the price hikes.

Your image doesn't want to load for me.

I'm assuming this is it?

I've checked Toyark, which usually has good info, but they have nothing other then the Kirk Bank, the NX-2000, and the Kirk select figure... which is weird for them.

Edit: Weird, I keep getting an error that I can't use that image extension... Link it is then.

I'd imagine it'd make more sense after all the ship isn't that large.

Slightly bigger photo if it helps:

I've scoured the net (including twitter) for any more pictures of it, and I can't find any. If they're now showing it off in public, I'm thinking it must have gotten licensor approval - so official photos shouldn't be too far away hopefully...

Wonder if the base will be completely black or red/black like the pics.
