JUst wondering what type of paint people use for rubber parts like the torso of the enterprise figures. whatever I use keeps cracking.

well definatley stay away from any type of oil paints. I'd say your best to use would be liquitex acrylic paints (usually used for actual paintings) or Testors model master acrylics.

Have you thought of mixing acrylic paint with liquid latex?  In equal amounts, you should get good coverage with a fair amount of adhesion.
